Love this item. Makes a great casserole with ground beef, peppers and cheese. My family loves it.
I found this short cut to making stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage many years ago. At that time I was using VanCamps Spanish rice in a can. When they quit making it, I was devastated. Actually quit making both recipes for a long time. Now I found La Preferida Spanish Rice and I like it better. I am happy again. Thank you La Preferida.......... This is THE BEST most tasty and DELICIOUS Spanish rice; hands down. The canned is the best, because the boxed tastes nothing like it at all. For some reason (as is always the case with the best things for some odd reason) this product is increasingly difficult to find. I love to eat this with bean and cheese burritos, tacos, enchiladas, or stuffed in peppers.
I use this to make stuffed peppers. I mix it with the ground beef, stuff the par boiled peppers and bake. Makes for the best moist filling ever. This is extremely hard to find and packaged spanish rice does just not do the trick!
Tasted pretty good . . but . . . $1.78 for a can of rice??
I really like Spanish Rice so I tried this brand hoping that it would be good to accompany foods like fried chicken.I opened the can and saw a fairly dry looking product,rather glopping looking.I heated it up and served it with my meal and was totally disappointed by its taste and texture.I would never purchase it again..
