I bought this starter banjo for a friend and I have many years of experience repairing and setting up instruments. This banjo has good features and good materials but, the instrument I received needed several hours of setup work and adjustments to make it playable. This is to be expected in an instrument at this price but, may be a factor if you were hoping to take it out of the box and play right away. Maybe mine was the exception but, I feel obligated to comment. Fair price, fast shipping and overall decent quality from Sam's Club. Would recommend if you have setup skills.
