Sometimes just burying your canopy legs in the sand isn't enough. On a recent trip to the beach, se saw several adjacent canopies fly out of the sand and tumble over the dunes destroying the frame. The added sand bags, (Mine held about 25 to 30 lbs each.) held our canopy down and gave us peace of mind. We wrapped the strap once around the leg and then tightened it snugly. When we left, we just emptied the bags of sand back on the beach. Last year we lost a nice 10x10 canopy to high winds. We had the legs buried about 18 to 20 inches down in the sand but it wasn't enough. This added protection let us sleep at night.

These are very nice for holding down my canopy. They seem to be quite durable. I got jumbo ziploc bags to put inside them so that the sand doesn't get wet and gross, and they work perfectly! Fantastic value at $10! I plan on taking the whole setup to the beach, and it will be very easy to fill these with sand every day.

Superfast shipping by Wal-Mart.com. These are great to use for holding the EasyUp tents in place. We've filled large ziplock bags with sand and then put them in the sand bags for no mess and easy movement. It's worked out great.

I had seen these advertised online when I was shopping for a 10x10 FirstUp canapy. I had thought about sewing some sand bags to anchor the canapy in heavy winds, but when I saw a purchase price of $10 I thought "it's not worth my time to make them". They are easy to use and easy to carry once filled with sand. Have only used them twice so I can't comment yet on how well they will hold up over time. They seem to be constructed well. They arrived quickly, too.

The pop-up awning met all my expectations--its a little heavy but the wheel help drag it along. The sand bags were an excellent addition achoring the awning in soft sand or soil or on surfaces too hard for driving stakes. The absence of stake tie down lines makes moving around it excellent. I put extra patio paving bricks in the bags for use on a patio and used sand/gravel in them when using by a river while camping. Also bought the bug screen, solid screen and rope lights and have been happy with them all.

I purchased these to cover my sand bags weights used on the tents. These are great because you can cover you sandbags and they look great. Gives a more professional look to ugly sandbags use to weight down on concrete. You can't beat the price since you get 4x the covers for the price others charge for one.

We bought these to anchor our EZ-Up shelter at the beach. They work great. You will only need the the guylines when the wind really kicks up hard. To anchor the guylines, I use screw-in anchors like the ones for holding a dog leash in the yard. They are cheap and hold great.

Great little stuff sack, too!

Have not used the bag for its original intention but the quality of the construction and durability of the material indicate that it will perform its duty exactly as described. I intend to use the 4 that I purchased for stuff sacks for various camping items I use. (cook kits, repair kits, shock cords and rope, propane accessories, etc.)

I used the sand bags last week on vacation at the beach with our new canopy. It came with 4 bags. I doubt we really needed them on a normal day at the beach, but if it had been really windy or even a sudden gust it potentially could have picked up the canopy. We decided to use them just to have peace of mind. The sand bags were very easy to fill (used a toy shovel) and were set up in no time. There's a black strap (see in picture) where you can adjust the strap to keep the shape from becoming slouchy. You can also fill with rocks, gravel, etc. Just depends on how big the footing is of what you are trying to secure. I don't think for $10 you will regret buying this product.

Nice Product With Some Adjustments

These bags are nice for use on sand, concrete or pavement. In other words, places where you can't stake your canopy to the ground, however, all canopys that I have seen have very small feet with only enough room on them for the hole used to stake them to the ground. Filling these bags with sand is not going to put enough pressure on those small feet to hold the canopy down in the wind. What I did was cut circles out of plywood the same size as the bottom of the bag, then put a bolt through the bottom of the plywood and through the feet of my canopy and then put a nut on the bolt. Now I have large feet on my canopy and I can fill the bag with sand or rocks, tie the top of the bags closed and I have a neat looking application. This looks much better that having 4 big rocks tied to the feet and exposed. One could always tie a big rock to the feet and then put those rocks in the bags. I think these little bags are neat and they are cheap but I can't see them being of any help without making some type of adjustment to the canopy feet.
