Our Vet suggested raising our dog's dish height, to alleivate some problems he was having. And so far this seems to have solved the vomiting problem. Double bonus was this is easier on my husband, who has bending problems. But read the measurements given in the description closely. I did, but was still surprised by the height, and bulk of the large size. I wish they would show the small next to the large in the ad. But our dog is 65 lbs., so I felt we needed the large, but I think the small would have been raised enough. Love the stainless bowls, wish they offered extra set purchase option.
This is my second feeder,my angel girl has hers and we got a new boy and he was always trying to get in her feeder,so now dewey has his own. love them feeders, thank you christina
my dog had back injury as puppy and has a hard time at times eating from a bowl on the floor this feeder puts her food/water at a more comfortable height for her. Easy to wash bowls and stand. Stand is sturdy hasn't tipped over.
I have 2 dogs so I purchased 2 bowls. They are great for the price. I noticed my Pekignese stretching her front legs, and bending down to eat, and having a hard time. She is almost 13 years old. These bowls are just what she needed, she is now eating without bending her legs. I ordered the small size, and perfect for my Jack Russel also. The silver bowls come out and u can use one side for water, and even put a water bottle for constant water flow.
I purchased this for my Rottweiler. It's a simple yet durable feeding station. Be ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE you buy the correct size. As they take up a LOT of space compared to a normal ground sitting bowl. I love the fact that I can screw in ANY 2 liter bottle into the water side (remove bowl first) and now I'm not filling it as often. I replace the2 liter every time I get a new one so it doesn't grow bacteria to be safe.
No more bending. No more constant changing of the water. The bowl keeps water cold and the stand keeps it high where my little pooch doesnt have to strain to eat.
As it turns out, my yorkies eat way more than the bowl will allow. So I believe the description is accurate, but personally, I should have purchased a larger size. I know now for future reference.
This feeder is great for my dog. Easy to clean stainless steel bowls. The stand is plastic, and works for my dog, but it might not be heavy/sturdy enough if your dog gets very excited when eating (for example, your dog might move the bowl or knock the feeder over easily). Overall, great value - I found similar priced feeders but the bowls were plastic.
This works well for my tiny dog. I like the stainless steel bowls because they are easy to keep clean and germ-free; however, I wish it were made so the optional use of a bottle for a continous feed of water could be combined with use of the stainless bowl. Unfortunately, the bowl has to be removed to use with a bottle, so the water has to go into the molded plastice under-bowl area, which isn't as easly sanitized as is the stainless bowl. I don't use the bottle option for that reason, but other than that, I am please with the set. It is sturdy and well made, and I expect it to last for years and years.
I read all the other reviews and people were saying I got a Large & it was huge, I should've gotten a small or medium or something. There were a lot of reviews that said they wish they didn't buy such a big dish. When I got the feeder, it was smaller than the one I have now, and it has removeable bowls which makes it even smaller. so it's lower to the ground which defeats the purpose of me getting it in the first place and it doesn't hold very much food. My suggestion is to look closely at the dimensions, more than the reviews. My idea was for a german shepherd or great dane, of course you'd want the large, but for a little dog (and I have a beagle and beagle was mentioned several times in reviews) you may not necessarily want the small.
