I absolutely love these and have been eating them for years. Air fry for 12-14 min at 400 degrees, and they come out crispy and perfect every time! Side trick - instead of mayo on your burger, use a little sour cream! So good!
I'm not vegan, but I absolutely love chicken patties and chicken nuggets, I JUST CAN'TTTT get passed biting into gristle or anything hard and chewy. That's why I switched to vegan meat products. I'm very happy with these.. I've never tried the old recipe that everyone swears by, but maybe just the fact that I'm not doing a comparison will make for a good review 😁! I pop these in the air fryer while I'm getting ready for work. Takes about 3 minutes on one side, 3 minutes on the other. These are GREAT when you change up your chicken sandwich styles! Good with BBQ sauce, or Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, or just simply BLT style.
i see everyone complaining about the new recipe. in my opinion they still taste delicious. i've always added my own seasoning to the patties (like slap ya mama) and put them right in the air fryer and eat them as sandwiches. i'll continue to eat them!
The taste is certainly as good as a processed chicken patty and you can count on an even chewable texture free of the fat and gristle that accompanies processed poultry. If you are expecting to bite into something like white meat chicken breast I'm sorry but science just isn't there yet. I have been eating these weekly for the past 5 years and only 1 time have I encountered a patty that had an issue. (The pulp had not been adequately ground and there was a small piece like a strip of celery 2 centimeters long) Other than that they have all been delicious.
Decided to give the "vegan" style a try after a doc said lower your cholesterol. Threw these babies in the air fryer, let them sit 5 minutes after they're done like the directions say. They got crispy, took one bite and was transported back to the 90s. They tasted just like the chicken sandwiches we got in our school lunches....which is good. 4 Fluffy thumbs up.
The new recipe tastes nasty! What in the world happened?! These were my guilty pleasure and I'm not even a vegetarian. The spice flavor of it now is just off and it's definitely more salty. Don't recommend anymore. Old recipe was 5 stars.
I liked the texture of the old recipe better. The new version is denser, and gets less crispy. I used to love these, so it's a big disappointment.
I bought two packages from Walmart and they taste fine however they're small. They need to be thicker and have 50% more product.
Bought these all the time because they tasted great and had very low sodium. New ones have an increase of 120mg. Also the breading doesn't stick the to new ones. Taste is fine but so was the original one. Saw both in the store and grabbed the older package over the new one. Should try to fix something that's not broken
i'm a 22 year old, vegetarian her whole life girl. i'm not exaggerating when i say i've been eating these chicken patties since childhood. i remember when they came in the box. with all that being said, im so so disappointed in the new recipe! it's awful. the smell, the texture, the taste, the aftertaste—everything is OFF. pleaseeeee change it back!! even my meat eater boyfriend liked the original! don't try and fix what isn't broken!! :(
