First time purchase. Made biscuits and gravy. Wish there was more vegis in the ingredients. Taste was ok. Planning on trying in a pasta sauce.
So disappointed with the change. I used to eat them almost daily. I probably won't buy them anymore. Maybe stay vegan, but put back the herbs and spices? That's what seems missing to me. I can un-mush/crisp them up in my air frier, but they are now tasteless. Darn.
I've bought these breakfast sausages for years, highly recommended to so many people. However the new recipe has completely changed the flavor to a now odd peppery unfamiliar one, you've added 10 additional calories without adding additional protein or product weight. Texture is now soft and greasy. Why did product development change such a once delicious product?
These previously delicious patties have been a staple for 20+ years - we eat these for breakfast several times a week. Horrified to open a new package today and get an awful new flavor! What have you done to my breakfast? No change in the packaging either. And they are 10 calories more now! Will stop buying until you bring back the old recipe.
I only bought these recently and they were great! Bought another bag last week and the texture is weird and the taste is different. What happened? I don't like it at all.
I've eaten this companies products since I was a child and have been increasingly disappointed with the product recipe changes. The sausage links and paties were the last remaining product that hadn't been tampered with. I'm extremely disappointed and will no longer be buying your companies products.
I used to eat these every single day for about 8 years. Recipe changed maybe a year ago and they replaced the egg white with gluten and they taste nasty. Bag says original recipe, which is a lie. Please, Morningstar, read these reviews and listen to your customers! We knew they weren't vegan. Vegetarians are like 1% of society, and vegans are 1% of that! Please, I really miss these and will never buy another Morningstar product again until I hear these changed back.
My family has been eating these patties for the past 40+ years and they're a staple in our freezer. Our last bag, however, tasted weird and had an unpleasant texture. My first thought was that the bag had thawed and been refrozen, but after a second bag, I realized something was definitely up. It seems MorningStar Farms has modified the recipe, leaving our beloved patties with an unrecognizable (gross) taste and a nasty new texture, that leaves rubbery bits behind in your mouth and teeth. I understand the company's desire to appeal to the vegan market, but MorningStar should simply make a second option. It is seriously disappointing to lose a breakfast item we've loved for decades. I hope the company will revert to the original recipe that we love. In the meantime, we won't be buying these anymore.
Completely misleading labeling. “Original?” These are nothing like the original sausage patties. We had to throw them out. Horrible texture, flavor — and advertising.
The old recipe with egg products was excellent. The current recipe is mushy and horrible. Yes, I have gone back to meat products at times since the change. These are not the “original”. That's false advertising. New “mushy” formula would be spot on.
