This tool was great. Yes it is plastic but it worked just fine for me. I found it better to go slow with it and it worked like a charm! Can't beat it at this price.

Our front room window screen had gotten pushed out,in one corner,by one of our cats that likes to bird-watch from the opened window.I thought I'd wind up having to replace the entire screen, but this little gadget solved the issue pronto! It has one roller that you use to push the screen material down into the slot in the window frame, and the other end has a roller used to push the rubber sealing strip down over the screen material. Very quick and tidy. I assume that most window frames use a pretty standard dimension when it comes to the screen material used, but this tool seems like it was custom-designed to fit like a glove. Just don't let your dog get ahold of it,as they will probably think it's a toy like mine did.

It's Plastic, Don't Expect Too Much

OK, as a homeowner, this isn't my first rescreening rodeo, and I've had both metal wheel and plastic wheel screen installation tools. I do like a nice, tightly installed screen, and can say that I prefer the metal wheeled ones, although you can end up cutting the inside of the screen with excessive pressure. The plastic wheeled ones are easier to damage. Nylon isn't as hard as the aluminum frame. So, if you have a half dozen screens to do, this will perform OK, but if you're doing dozens, spend the extra money and get a metal one.

Tool was too thick close to the splining wheel. If I held it at the proper angle to push the spline in, the tool pushed the screen back out of the channel. Poor design.

It's flimsy, and I've pinched my fingers on it more than I care to admit. Buy something more durable.

Absolutely the worst screen tool on the market and I've used the majority of them. The rollers will not stay round or rolling because they chip and break off. The whole thing is pure junk. It makes a easy job become a nightmare. I can't believe Wal-Mart would carry this level of product.

I'd be offended even if this was free. This is a one window, one time use "tool". It sucks and I would never recommend this to anyone unless I hated them and wanted them to struggle performing a simple task like replacing a window screen or two. I had to resort to using a butter knife which gave me a blister... I was aware it was causing a blister but I still chose that over using this tool. If that gives you any idea as to how much I hated this tool. Don't listen too the good reviews. I'm convinced they're lying because I can't imagine anyone using this and saying it was worth purchasing for any reason other than to waste your money and to torture the intended recipient.
