Very good quality for the price and does exactly what I needed it to do.gets loud and it sounds good. It was missing a knob but that's okay. It's no $700 unit but for $160 you can't beat it.
I got this P.A. and set it up and my band uses it all the time. it has the power for us in rehearsal and is easy to take to a gig. The sound is very clear and makes it easy for us to play agig.
This little PA is perfect for our bands little studio.
Okay, first things first. The description says 2 x 10-inch Speakers, so if you're thinking these are teensie bookshelf speakers, think bigger. The speakers may be ten inches, but the housings are much heftier... they'll come up past your knee, each about the size of a bit of carry-on luggage (not that I'd recommend doing that...) No roller wheels, but they're not so heavy that they need that. And there is the option to mount them onto PA stands, so they don't need to just stay on the ground. The neat thing, from an amateur/entry-level perspective, is that two identical speaker housings contain everything you need on snap-off attachments: a mixing board, cables, and power cord, for a simple gig... you just provide the instruments and you're good to go. I like the fact that the mixing board snaps onto the back of one speaker, while a carry-all compartment snaps onto the other. There's plenty of room there for the cords, and maybe things like mics or other road gear. That's handy, since you can carry all that, one speaker in each hand, in one go, rather than in a bunch of trips carrying other boxes, bags, or what-have-you. The sound is good, and with the mixer, you have a lot of control to get just the sound you want; it also couldn't be easier to set up. Everything feels quite solid and durable.
works well, bought it for my daughter and friends and they like it
Bought this unit as a PA system for our youth baseball games. Good little system. Speakers are mounted on stands approximately 20-30 feet from primary listening audience and with the exception of full crowd cheering all guests can hear the announcer. One drawback and one flaw This system supports phantom microphones. I cannot imagine a user of this budget PA also using phantom microphones and volunteer announcers always seem to hit the phantom power button which risks damaging the standard mic when using XLR. If the phantom power switch was not adjacent to the stereo channels volume it would be better As for the flaw, the speaker stand sockets are not to spec size. We had to modify the sockets to work with common speaker stands. Nobody can see that we made the hole bigger and it does not affect performance. Overall I highly recommend this system and I will likely purchase a second for our other field
Great PA for the price compact and easy to use Sounds great
This isn' t the loudest most Hi-Fi system, but for a basic sound system it works well.
These speakers are louder than I expected. But they don't sound that great at all. No low end at all. I expected more from a 10” cone. The 4 mic/line channels default to dual mono output. There is no way to pan the signals per channel. Stereo music sources must use the stereo input, which does not have any EQ on it. There are no inserts on the main output bus so there is no way to insert additional outboard EQ. There is a main line out in addition to the powered amp outs. So in theory you could send a signal out to outboard EQ, but then you would need to use additional amplification, not the onboard powered outputs. Not a very well thought out design in my opinion. But for $170, what do you expect? I use them primarily for backyard movie night. I place a 1/3 octave eq between my playback source and the stereo input and I am able to shape the tone better. I plan on adding a powered subwoofer and driving that off of the main line outputs to help boost the low end.
Worked great for two events, then it crapped out. Constant hum from the amp/mixer. I suspect a capacitor has blown. No warranty, too bad.
