My son is 6.4 weeks old & I love giving him a bath in this, he loves bath time in this one rather than another one that I have. I like the little wales that are on it too. So cute.
I received this as a gift. The sling holds the baby at the perfect angle to keep water from running into the eyes while washing the baby. I was really nervous about the eye thing but the sling resolves that issue. I am glad I got this tub. (It came to us pre-assembled). One problem is that the baby can slide down the sling and my newborn does not push himself back up with his legs, but in a few weeks he will probably learn that trick
9.20.12 - IDKY it's rated 3/5. I would have expected at least a 4/5. Anyway I bought this tub for my son (when he was already 7 months old) a little bit over a year ago. The sling may not be the most comfortable (seeing from my newborn daughter's expression) but it doesn't matter as much as having a nice little tub that will last many years ahead.
I used the sling on the Rainforest tub until my son grew out of it. I tried using it without the sling and wasn't a fan of the 'speedbump' in the bottom holding him up. I bought the Summer Infant Foldaway tub and hated it for more reasons that I care to write. I then bought the Safety 1st Space Saver Fold Up tub and used it for about a week before deciding I didn't like it #baby wasn't deep enough in the water, it leaked at the folding part, and his head flopped to either side#. I've been using this one now for a few days and it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. The sling is secure so he isn't flopping around from side to side. It is nice and deep so I can fill it up and he can stay warm. The only thing I would change about it is that the sling is smaller than the bottom of the tub, so it can move around. My son will scoot up to the front and kick the front of the tub, or rest his feet on it outside of the water. When he gets bigger and really starts kicking #for fun#, it will be a wet mess! I suppose he won't be in the sling any longer when that happens though. It is nice that the sling is removable too so you can put it in the regular tub. I should caution that I've seen about 20 of these tubs at the store and only about 2 of them have had all the parts...I'm not exagerating. Some are missing the sling and others the sling frame. It is making me question if something is breaking and people are stealing the parts out of it. Only time will tell I guess! I'm super happy about it for now though. Also, it is massive, so if space is a concern, this one is not for you.
I really like this bath tub. I had the fisher-price rainforest bath tub for my first son. I didn't like the hump in the middle. It was just awkward. So for my second son I purchased this tub and makes bath time so much easier. The sling is tough to get on. But stays on good when baby is in it.
I got this as a gift and it wasn't the one I had registered for, but I figured I'd keep it anyway. The main reason I don't like it is because the sling isn't very secure. It's flimsy plastic and I'm kinda worried it's going to break because it's just a piece of plastic that you swing out that makes the sling like a ramp and it slides around in the baby tub really easily. There isn't any kind of grip on the sling or the baby tub. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you did get it, your baby would probably be fine I'd just be really careful.
I bought this for my son and was very disappointed. The print is very cute but that's about it. Everytime I put him in there he slips down. I wish I would have purchased another one.
I was looking for a simple tub for my baby and thought this was it. When I got home and tried to put the sling on the frame, it wouldn't fit. I even got my husband to try it, but no success. Returned it to the store, and am now looking for a new one.
I returned the tub. It doesn't have the cut out on the bottom so you can put it in a double sink in the kitchen. It was too big and bulky.
I bought this tub to use for my 3 month old and I absolutely hate it. The sling constantly folds so he doesn't stay propped up. It would be very difficult to bathe him by myself because I have to hold him up since he always seems so slide down. Once he gets older and can sit up on his own I'll probably like it better but until then I dread bath time just as much as he does.
