We needed a gate that I could open while holding another child easily, and this fits our needs with the easy step and open method. The great thing is that our 4 yr old grandson can open it with a little weight and push. (He is about 40 lbs-if any lighter weight, may not have been able to). We wanted him to be able to open it to get to restroom, but keep our toddler granddaughter in. It also has an option to take off foot pedal and work from top slide/lift on gate if you want a younger child to not be able to operate. I don't think a preschooler could slide and lift it easily. It seems very good quality! May cost a little more, but I think it is worth it.
I was very impressed with this gate. I like that it has tension rods instead of drilling holes in my door way. It was easy to put together and is made well. I love the hands free feature as well. I would recommend this gate to anyone.
We have several baby gates - this is my favorite. Love the stay open feature & the foot pedal feature. Latches on it's own when pushed close -vs. having to do the latch by hand. Over all, good solid gate for the price. Looks nice too.
This gate was exactly what we were looking form our favorite feature is that it stays open when you want it too. Several other step on gates don't have this feature. Also, the swing back action is not super powerful, so it won't hurt our dogs if they don't get out of the way quickly. We love our new gate!
I love this gate. It sturdy and durable for my 65lb boxer. It's not screwed into the walls. There are pads on all four knobs that push onto the walls. I like this feature because the gate doesn't leave holes all over my newly painted walls. It's easy to set up and easy to take down. It might get a bit tricky opening the gate, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty smooth sailing from there. I didn't need the extensions that came with the gate. My hallway didn't need it, but I definitely liked that it came with the gate just in case. I would highly recommend this gate to anyone.
This product is easy to assemble and works as it should. The price is less than most gates comparable in size and quality. I highly recommend it.
If you can get past the prepping and assembly, this does end up as a fine gate and is not heavy. The latch is very good. My 11-month old grandson will not be successful in getting past this! We have it as a spare when family is over. When it is just my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, we just keep the kitchen door shut. With all of our family over, it would be too easy to forget. That is where this gate comes in. We use it tension-mounted at the top of the steps coming up to the kitchen from the back hall. I detested the assembly, so my husband did it. With that said, I would recommend the gate.
I bought this baby gate as a way to separate my child from the dog food area. It works great and allows for easy access through the hallway. The gate has more features than I realized when purchasing. It has a stop feature so that the gate will stay open when you want it to without hassle. It also closes on its own as well. The foot pedal feature is a bit tricky and hard to use with only socks on. Great product!
Gates were very nice and looked like the picture. Directions, however, were terrible! Good thing my husband was able to figure it out. Very fast shipping.
This gate is well built, easy to set up, and works great. Closes automatically behind you but you can also leave it open when you want to, love this feature.
