Good product. Gets the job done. Not as stable as I would like for it to be.
The elliptical works well, however, it was very difficult to put together.
This machine was somewhat easy to put together. Although some areas require 2 people, most can be done by one person. The only part about putting it together was that the foot pads were labeled incorrectly. The machine is a bit wobbly and squeeks after about 15 minutes of use. But I use my MP3 so that solves the noise problem. And I don't know if it is just me but I don't feel any difference when I adjust the stride.
This elliptical is one of the higher priced ones on the website... I was looking to find something i could work out on at home to lose some weight because going to a gym was hard for me working and going to school full time... My boyfriend put this together for me and he didn't seem to have a hard time with it but when i used it it was definetly not what I had expected. I would reccomend this product to someone who is a bit shorter I am 5-6" and when I am on this my knees will sometimes hit the cup holder which can be really annoying the rock on this thing is horrible I put a pad on my carpet to make it stable and it didn't do anything so whenever I want to use I have to pull it onto the tile in my hallway to use it. Also it does not come with any of the ifit cards and those run about $30 a peice which is ridiculous. All in all it didnt meet my expectations which I feel are not very high since I didn't pay to much for it.
Positives: -It included a level 1 "Lose Weight with Jillian Michaels" iFit card. -Included mp3 connection cord -Wasn't difficult to assemble. Seriously, my daughter's play kitchen took me double the time & triple the hassle to put together. About half of it is already put together in the box. -It gives a good workout. Negatives: -Grease provided is not enough -Squeals like a pig getting ready to be made into bacon -Speakers don't sound too great -WOBBLES. -A bolt fell off during first workout All in all, this machine gives a good sweat. I'm going to buy some grease & see if it fixes the pig problem. Before you use it, make sure you tighten all the bolts, especially the ones that are on pre-assembled pieces. I really wanted an elliptical with mp3 compatibility & with ifit card technology. Despite the reviews, I got this one because it had what I wanted within my budget. Hopefully I could get the negatives squared away. If you're just looking for it to work you out, & you wouldn't mind the negatives then this is a decent machine.
I bought this a year and a half ago and during the first year had the display replaced. Luckily it was still out of warranty. Now it is out of warranty and the display went out again. It does the same thing every time, it starts beeping very loud and then none of the buttons will work. Without the display the machine won't switch levels, so I am stuck with a machine that only works in level one, wow some workout. Don't buy any Golds Gym products.
I loved my elliptical when I first purchased it. It is a great workout, but after 18 months it broke beyond repair.
This broke after the first day and my husband was VERY upset because he had to put it together and he wasted all that time!
We drove to 5 walmarts and none of them had this in stock even though the associate checked inventory at each location. We ordered it online through walmart.com store pickup. We put the unit together and got to the last step in the instructions and the last part was / is welded wrong. Now we have to wait for the manuafucture to ship a new part. This was supposed to be a mothers day gift, but it will be at least another week before we can use the eliptical.
