It took about 2 hours to get it together, but was very simple and instructions were excellent. The machine is quiet, and works very well. I've already been on it a few times and we just put it together yesterday. I would totally recommend this product. I run about 4 miles a day, but it does come with the pre programmed options that I think I may check out too. The only thing that I have found is it's a bit tricky to see the display when I'm running on it, it would work better to be tilted back a bit, but really not a bit deal. I love it!
Iâve now had this elliptical for 5 years and itâs the best workout equipment iâve owned! Never had any issues and my 285 lb husband uses it often and never has problems either. Iâm on the market now for a matching treadmill since this has been so good to me. Quality machine at an affordable price!
It was definitely a two-person job putting it together but wasn't that hard all-in-all. It runs well and we got the DC adapter so that we wouldn't have to use batteries to get the programming to work. I like having the option to not go to the gym and just walk into our spare room where this elliptical is located and it does what I want it to do.
The elliptical itself seems to be good quality for the money. Out of the box this was a interesting project! LOTS of pieces to put together in order to build this, but the assembly instuctions were pretty easy to follow. I did have to Dremmel one of the bushings to make it fit correctly but it still only took a couple hours to finish (with some assistance). I also had one broken plastic piece so I called GG and they are sending a replacement. I would recommend purchasing the Proform 6v power adapter from Walmart when you order the elliptical, especially if you plan to use the console cooling fan, sound system, or ifit (the power adapter has to be ordered, they don't carry them in the store).
This is a very good elliptical trainer but, I do not why does not include the AC/DC adapter, the cost of it is very small compare with the cost of the elliptical trainer. Additionally, when I was assembling the elliptical trainer had two problems with two screws because two nuts were welded crooked, good idea to have better quality control at the factory.
This eliptical is great for the money. It is quiet and smooth, and it gives you a great workout. The only negatives is the display is not illuminated and the angle of the display needs to face up more. I am 6' 1", so I have to stop moving and stoop down to read the display. A big positive for me was the great instructions that allowed me to assemble it in less than an hour. Lastly, it seems sturdy enough to handle my 193 lb frame, so I like it! I recommend this product.
Upon getting the product the box was in rough shape. As we put it together we found there were 3 tabs on various parts that were broken off. All these broken tabs were in the plastic coverings for the parts. The main console is also broken. The speaker cover is totally broken off on one side. The actual sound skips and breaks up as it is talking. This is when the machine is at a stand still and when moving so not just an issue of exercise messing with the speakers. We were unable to fully install one of the knobs that is supposed to adjust the pedal height. The hole was incorrectly made so that when the knob is inserted it does not allow it to fully go through. It is not made of a taller person. I am 5'9" and when standing on the machine the arm bars have to be held at the very tip to be comfortable. I am also not able to clearly see the display without hunching down and the fan does not hit anywhere close to my face. Overall the product is a huge disappointment for the price especially since it came with so much damage and broken parts. .
I have owned this elliptical for 1 year and 2 weeks. Today it died. It will no longer switch to a different level of resistance. After removing the covers to repair it I found that the handle frame was cracked and barely holding together. The switch for the sifting wont work any longer as well. I have used this elliptical for 70 minuets every day. It squeaks bad and loudly, but I workout with wireless head phones. So for me it did not matter, but for my wife it was a different story. When I bought it I weighed 205 I now weigh 170. So I am in the required weight range. The machine did work to achieve my goals of weight loss, but is no good for the long term for your physical maintenance. $400 for 1 year? If you do buy it the batteries last for 6 months.
It worked for awhile and then started making noise. The assembly process is very hard and I am very handy. Not even a year after I bought this the main frame broke. I am under the 250 weight rating. Stay away from this junk. Even the instruction manual is full of flaws.
I purchased this product on-line, the one I purchased at the store didn't function correctly. When I got the new one, it was damaged, so I had to return this item twice. I went with a different product, I was not going to go for round three. If you purchase this product I recommend having the store put it together so you can make sure it is functioning correctly and not damaged.
