Gazelle arrived 2 days early in perfect condition. I was able to put it together and it works fine. I did find a socket wrench was easier to use in assembling the Gazelle. My wife and I both like it very much. She has some mobility problems but she still benefits from using the Gazelle. We think it is a perfect whole body exercise device. It also is not stressful on the knees and feet.
Since I am 68 I "think" I am active but realize that I was doing nothing for overall body conditioning or cardio on a daily basis. I have tried several other types of equipment over the years but somehow they always end up hurting me then I stop using them. I realize I am not going to be running in marathons anytime soon but I do think using my Gazelle daily (even for 10 minutes) will keep my body more able to move without pain. I am starting out (again) so taking it slow - 5 min in the morning, 5 minutes at night. I'm a little stiff but no pain. Looking forward to using this fun piece of equipment on a daily basis.
I absolutely love it. Easy to assemble. Fast delivery. Only one thing, if you have wide hips I wouldn't recommend purchasing. Other than that, it's awesome.
Delivers a real workout for a fraction of the cost of an elliptical. Also takes up half the dpace. Plus folds up for easy storage when needed. Ours came with two DVDs, not one. Easy assembly. Definitely recommend.
First of all was delivered before expected delivery date. Kudos to that! Now I have only had a week and am very happy so far. It seems low impact but by the feel of muscles the next day it is working. I like the total body workout dvd, very easy to follow and I like the girl on the video. Took about an hour to put together. But really not very hard. Stores nicely which is good cause space is limited.
Took about 1.5 hours to assemble. Not terribly difficult, if you're someone who handles assembly and following directions relatively manageable. If you've ever assembled something from that Swedish store, you can handle. There was some adjusting along the way but nothing where I had to take apart and start over. The most “difficult” was the axle bar. I had to leverage my leg in one side to hold pressure while I tightened the bolt on the other side. To tighten you will have to hold on bolt secure so the whole tube doesn't turn. Haven't put a full workout yet. But did a few test glides and it was quiet and smooth. It folded down pretty easy and the foot rests snapped into place. The handle bars do stick up a little, but overall I'm happy. Can't wait to try it tonight while watching TV.
I would have given it an overall 5 stars but some pieces on the device have cut marks. Other than that, it was easy to put together. I do wish I had purchased the Gazelle that has the resistance feature, in my opinion you will get a better workout, and better results. This is my second Gazelle, I purchased my first one in 2006, I was pleased then and I am pleased now with my purchase.
I'VE ALWSYS WANTED A GAZELLE GLIDER WHEN I WAS YOUNGER
I've only had this a short time but so far, I like it. It wasn't difficult to put together but clearer drawings on the instructions would've saved us some time. Once put together, you just step on carefully, hold on, get your balance, and slowly start moving. If you give it a minute, and more, you'll start to feel that you're working a lot of muscles all over. It's a gentle gliding motion that doesn't shock the joints. It can cause strain if you over do it though, as I did. I find this to be a lot of fun but it causes me some of strain on my ankles/heels so I have to pace myself and get used to it before trying to use it for longer sessions. I've already noticed some changes in my arms, and I hope this is just the beginning. The included DVD is from like, 2004 and (thankfully) does not star Tony so don't be afraid to give it a look-see. For someone used to using the Gazelle, the DVD workout offers some structure and alternating sets that go beyond simple gliding. So far I'm happy with the purchase and hope it'll last me a while.
The frame arrived bent without any visible damage to the shipping box. I was not able to assemble the product. I called the manufacturer once and per the recorded instructions I emailed them the details of the problem as well as photos. Three times I emailed them over the span of a week. No one ever responded. Incredibly disappointing.
