Decided to buy an elliptical a few weeks ago
The Elliptical is really nice works great. The assembly is a little tricky on the monitor part you have to connect a bunch of wires, and be ready it takes up to 4 AA Batteries they are not included. If you do not put the handles together right they can easily come off like mine did we had to reput them on with a better screws we own. But overall it works great, it has a resistance button to help you push harder and get a great workout.
put cardboard , used fender washers , lock washer , grease ,,, the leg bolt area has caved in ... probably going to get black iron pipe and drill it ,, if it hAd a better base stability it would be fine , buttttt
The squeek comes from the metal feet rubbing up against the plate it is attached to. I used a piece of old yoga mat on front and back. Machine is silent now. Hope this helps.
Takes TWO people hours to assemble. The black hex key + black bolts combo made it xtra hard to see, ridiculous battery compartment access but parts were marked clearly, instructions almost complete* but my engineering degree came in handy. Whisper quiet, medium difficulty level, good value. *Gold's, feel free to contact me for assembly instruction pointers, there were a few important lapses, easy to add, that would have streamlined process.
This is a good machine. It's not huge so you can use it in smaller rooms without sacrificing too much floor space. Unfortunately, it has one simple little flaw that will drive you crazy. It creaks like an old barn door!! by the second day my 6yrld was a nervous wreck by the time I was done with my exercise. There is a very simple fix that should have been addressed by the R&D team before this made it to final production. *Problem* The problem is the front and rear legs where they meet up with the rest of the machine. The cylindrical portion of the leg assembly grinds against the metal plate of the machine causing a horrible creaking sound every time you move. *Fix* A rubber washer ( 6 to be exact) Just get 6 heavy duty rubber washers then: 1) loosen the 2 bolts that hold the legs to the front of the machine just enough to slide the washers between the leg and the plate (don't remove the leg completely, this will make it harder to reassemble). Space them evenly and tighten the bolts back as tight as you can 2) Do the same for the back. All done. Enjoy :)
Works well with some tweaking. At first it was incredibly creaky and wobbly, and pretty much unsuable because it sounded and felt so awful. After reading an Amazon review, we cut up a yoga mat and wrapped the material around the legs where they attach to the base, cutting out holes for the bolts. This helped tremendously. Of course itâs not the quality of an elliptical at the gym, but itâll do for a home workout
It was a bit challenging to assemble, two days after use one arm came loose. However, I was able to get it back tightened and continue using the machine. The machine is somewhat small and light weight but overall it gets the job done since I can't go to the gym during social distancing. It keeps me moving and able to sweat, but if you are seeking an intense workout this one probably won't suit your needs.
During first use, machine started to squeak and shift from side to side. We double checked that it was "balanced" to the best of our ability. We also double checked the entire assembly. It's simply flimsy and cheap. If you don't mind noise and shifting during use and just want a quick and relatively inexpensive means to work out at home, this will be ok. I'm disappointed though and would have probably not wasted my money if I had it to do over. I would have gotten something a little better quality.
There is a super loud noise coming from the vertical support tube. I have tried re-tightning all nuts and bolts with no success. It is unbearably loud. Very disappointed. It also came with the cupholder broken. I will update my comment after talking to customer service. I hope this can get resolved without hassle.
