Very happy with my purchase. Smooth and quite very sturdy machine. I had an older golds gym model and couldn't fix it so I decided to get a new one. Gives a great workout and well worth the money; considering that Icon makes most of these elliptical models(pro-form, NordicTrack, golds) your getting a great machine for the price. I did see some negative reviews on golds gym products but I'v been happy with both that I'v owned. Putting it together took a few hours but is fairly simple.
I LIKED: (1) Well-packed, (2) It's ready2go after only 12 setup steps, (3) Compact, and (4) Feels "flywheel-smooth" so I can work it hard even with arthritis. DIDN'T LIKE: (1) The $35 credit for opening a Walmart credit card not reflected in the bill, (2) The promised date prior to purchase was earlier than the promised date eMailed to me, (3) Not all tools are supplied for setup, (4) The R/L axel insert was quite the challenge. I will update this review if problems occur.
Very sturdy! Great Workout!!!! It was easy to assemble even if your not mechanically inclined. I have wanted an elliptical for a long time, just waiting for a good price & a quality product. This is all in one! I would highly suggest making this your new piece of equipment to add to your home!!!
Great elliptical. I bought this due to the gym being closed during the Coronavirus. The quality of the machine is comparable to gym quality. Smooth and very quiet. Nice stride length, almost feels like a combination between an elliptical and a stepper. The resistance is much harder than a gym elliptical though. I had to look up online how to adjust the magnetic resistance to lower it a little so level 1 wasn't as hard. It's pretty easy to adjust. You just pop off the L flywheel center panel and the bolt is right there. Heavy and sturdy equipment, would definitively recommend especially for the price.
Works as well as one in the gym. Weighs 300 pounds so you will need help carrying in and assembling. Very easy instructions to follow. Great service at my Pounding Mill Va Walmart.
Just wish it came with a place to put phone while using it.
This is what you will find in gym clubs and is not your typical home version that cannot measure up in quality, durability and features. Quiet working with lots of programs to suit your every need. iFit was disappointing as you need a subscription to capture your daily workout, it should have been a free app since the machine is high end. No accessories available for a tablet or phone holder, but the speakers are a good fit
The machine itself is great. Assembly is straight forward. One of my criteria for purchasing a unit was if it had a tablet holder. The specification and photos clearly indicate that it does. However in reality it doesn't come with a holder at all. The console has a mounting point for one but the company doesn't include one nor is there an optional part available to purchase. It's not Walmart's fault because every other online retailer has the same info. It's clearly the vender who sent out incorrect information.
Initially a nice unit; however, it lasted 29 months (used almost daily) before the cheap plastic that contains the magnets and actuating cable (from the pressure adjustment motor) cracked in two places and the adjustment cable itself pulled through the plastic. This in turn makes the user effort adjustment inoperable as the magnets no longer retract from the hub (the unit is stuck on what feels like the middle of its 1-18 difficulty levels. Of course you can't just buy the two plastic surrounds; rather the entire assembly must be purchased. This one part is 58% of the total price paid for elliptical machine itself. I originally purchased the Golds unit as I was wanted a higher quality unit. Very disappointed and $585 bought me only 29 months of use.
I purchased this elliptical recently and after waiting 2 weeks for delivery I was very excited to get it set up and start using it. However while assembling I realized one of the critical pivot axle pieces was not built to spec and was too big for the bearings that are suppose to go around it - I was disappointed since I realized I would not be using the machine that day and would have to contact the manufacturer. After trying to contact their customer service through their online portal for a few days I finally got a hold of someone and they sent me a new pivot axle - that delivery took a full 10 days for the new piece to come. Unfortunately I had somehow muscled the old (fat) pivot axle into the frame of the machine during my original assembly and cannot for the life of me remove it to put the new one in. So here I am again - after ordering this product roughly 40 days ago and I still have not been able to use it. I guess I will have to chase down someone on their customer service team (they don't work weekends), wait another 10 days for a new frame just so I can install the new pivot axle and continue you with my assembly. I would love to just get my money back and throw this thing in the dumpster at this point.
