These microphones feature a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern that provides maximum gain before feedback. The gold-plated XLR pins ensure optimal connectivity.

I wasn't sure whether to give this a 3 or 4. I went with the 4 because the price is so cheap, you get what you pay for, so I can't judge it too harshly. They work just fine, and maybe most people won't notice a difference in quality, but side by side with a high quality microphone, I notice a fairly big difference. I purchased these to use as part of the school's sound equipment and hook it up to a mixer with monitors and mains using the 3-pin XLR cable. (You can also get an adapter to change from 3-pin to 1 TRS, I did not use this adapter) The mics aren't quite as loud or crisp as the 20 year old higher quality ones. If you have the money, get a higher quality mic that should last you over 20 years as opposed to these cheaper ones that may last 5-10 years before you can't stand the poor quality and throw them away. If you are just using them for fun, such as a hobby band, or karaoke, they will work just fine.
