Here is what I love about our Rest+: It is great that the device can be shared with others. My boyfriend and I both have the Rest app on our phones. I was able to easily share the device. He was able to create his own account and control and program the Rest+. Setting up a timed program was really simple. We picked the sound, color, and volume of the sound. We set it to be a little bit louder (30% volume) while we are normally awake so that we are less likely to wake up the baby. We programmed it to get quieter (25%) at the time that we typically go to bed. When it is ok for baby to wake up, we set a different color and sound. This will hopefully help him to get accustomed to this as he grows into his toddler days and help him to know when it is ok to get out of bed or when it is time to sleep still. The ability to program favorites and control the device manually has come in super handy for naps. Just tap on the top of the device to turn on to a predefined program. Another feature that will be great in the future is the toddler lock. Any programmed time can be set to have the toddler lock enabled. This will make it so that the buttons on the physical device cannot be pushed during that time frame. This is a great device that will help define a routine that will be able to adapt as our baby grows.
Pleasant experience with 3rd party seller. Was hesitant but fortunately the product cane new and was exactly was expecting. Thanks!
I've used the original Rest with my daughter to great success, and the Rest+ improves on an already-fantastic product! Not only can we use it to set programs for bedtime and morning time, as we did on Rest, but we can now listen in on her without having to carry a monitor from room to room, and we can get rid of the clunky clock we've had kicking around on her shelf. Our kitchen is a bit far from her room, so we occasionally would have to walk closer to her room to connect on Rest, so being able to control over Wi-Fi is a great fit for us. Rest+ has been an improvement in so many ways, can't wait to see what comes next from Hatch!
I was looking for something with a clock, nightlight and a few different sounds for my baby girl. A few people raved about how they love there's for the babies and toddlers. My daughter is 3 months and so far her favorite is the white noise and rain sounds! It seems so far to be helping her and I'm glad I can use it once she is older as well and not have to purchase another machine!:heart:️ Happy first time mom!!
This has been so great for our twins. The Favorite ring is convenient for playing sounds when playing but it really delivers as a white noise machine. It's loud enough to drown out outside noise. It works great for infants and I'm excited use it at the toddler stage as well. It's great as an audio monitor and I love that it can be moved to different rooms without needing to be plugged in. My only complaint is it's hard to turn it off without using the app. I'm sure it was designed that way so little hands couldn't turn it off but it makes it hard if I don't have my phone nearby.
We I Purchased two of these, one for our girls room (ages 2.5 & 7) and one for our boys room (5&5yo) in an effort to sleep train them in the mornings! I love the different setting and schedules. The monitor can be spotty depending on the quality of your WiFi but I'm not sure that's a problem on Hatch's part. My kiddos wake between 4 and 5am so having the option to have several schedules on there is great! For us, Red means stay in bed, yellow light is play in your room and green is time for breakfast! Helps to have a visual for littles. We put it up high out of reach and give incentives for following the morning routine. Love it, Cristy C. Mommy of 8
This machine is amazing when it comes to sounds. I wish it had a heartbeat sound, but we love the river sound. The colors get very distorted and are often not the right color at all when you turn the brightness down to use it as a Nightlight, but you can get the brightness very low if your child likes that! The photo I've included is supposed to be a light purple, but when dimmed it looks very red. It doesn't bother us, but if it would bother you I wouldn't get it because it does this with most colors. We also love the monitor option, but it still needs the kinks worked out in the Apple app.
Hatch baby has literally helped my little one w staying asleep all I do is put white noise sound and red orange dim light starting at 10 and he stays asleep through the night!!! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the audio monitor is super late at hearing things and one time I had talked through it and went back to the room and the whole hatch baby was off but other than that hatch baby is the best!
I like that you can control it by your phone and the range of colors you can choose from, but there are some features I would change. I would be happier if you could use the WiFi to connect your devices and play your own music. Also, the one I received was defective and won't hold a charge, it only charges halfway and since it was a gift it isn't that convenient to return.
