Wow! I just purchased this today Jan 15 and within hours there it was sitting at our front gate the evening of Jan 15!! Now if only someone will come paint my ceiling too! LOL Thanks Walmart!
I've used this ceiling paint several times. The paint is a bit thicker than paint used on walls, and I can say that I have never had dripping. However, I do still lay down plastic, just in case! The paint is easy to use with a multiple types of brushes and rollers. The coverage is great. I used one coat on my living room and main hallway. I preferred two coats on my lower level, due to water stains in one area. Also, the paint starts off looking a bit gray when it is first applied. Don't freak out! This helped me see where exactly I have already painted. Once it dries, it is a flat white. I would say that it leans a bit on the cooler side, but that could be because of the paint I have already used on my walls. One more thing, I have only used the ceiling paint from this listing. I haven't tried the version that goes on pink and dries white. It's not needed, in my opinion. Either way, I would definitely recommend this ceiling paint %26 will purchase again in the future.
This paint provided good coverage and no drips. It's very affordable too! I'm pleased with the results.
I accidentally marred the ceiling with stained wood installing it on my wall. With the stain color being covered with a single coat, just let it dry and don't believe the comments about it being gray. It just needs to dry!!
Dries beautiful bright white!! You will be worrying when you put it on wet because it looks darker/grey, but definitely super happy once it dries. Also felt the paint was nice and thick, not too runny or thin as others mentioned. Highly recommend
Great coverage first time!
This is some great paint. It's nice and thick. It covers well. It will cover in one coat if your ceilings aren't in too bad of shape, but plan on two coats if the ceilings are really discolored from certain types of heating or smoking. Once you've saturated the roller cover sort of turn the roller straight up and down over the pan to keep it from dripping. This paint is easy to work with, covers well and clean up is minimal if you're careful. It's a great value!
Very pleasantly surprised by how well this paint performed, especially at the low price. It covered easily with one coat using a good 1/2 in roller cover. The textured ceiling had 17 year old paint and this covered with one coat at the rate of 190 sq ft per gallon which is comparable to the expensive brands. No dripping and zero odor. Dries flat and even. Saved at least $10 per gallon. Note; do not use Kilz as a primer for this.. it wont work and frankly seldom does as a base for latex paint. You will likely end up with a mess; sagging and streaking and will not adhere. Just use two coats of the basic ceiling white if needed.
I am redoing a rental property. I bought this to save a few bucks on the ceiling. I used Glidden Premium White Flat Interior Paint on the walls thinking the color would match. They do not. This product is a shade or two greyer than the Glidden Interior paint. A call to Glidden revealted that they had recently changed formula and there is no way to tell which are the old and which are the new formulation which is apparently whiter. I had to re-do the entire ceiling. A refund doesn't replace the time / painting supplies that I wasted on this product. If you aren't going with white walls as well you are probably okay.
Please don't waste your money, company offer no solutions ceiling stayed pink and are very difficult to cover over as the pink bleeds thru. It was well mixed and not in a moist area, wish I had read reviews first what a hung waste of time n money I don't have.
