All my ceiling where FLAT!!! when I bought this house, and room by room I am going through with my white gloss and shining them up. It has great coverage, though I use 2 coats since its glossy any little spot that might have gone on unevenly due to operator error (aka me) shows up like a champ. I love this paint. NO VOC's woohoo!!!
I used one of the many white colors to paint some wood trim for a room addition. It looks great and was nice and smooth. The brush strokes disappeared and it looks nearly as good as the parts of the house where the paint was sprayed instead of brushed. Great value for the money spent too.
We started painting the outside of our house now that it has started cooling down and wanted to try this one since it's got the well known Better Homes and Gardens name. It has not disappointed! It goes on very evenly and the coverage has been superb.
I just completed painting some cabinets with the gloss in a very dark brown color. The consistancy of the paint was good, the coverage,. was well only fair. As it took 2-3 coats to fully cover a white base. This is after letting each coat dry, and applying with a foam roller and a quality brush. The color was mixed the way i wanted it,. but where i was most disappointed was in the gloss or shine of it. Being cabinets, with good size flat panels,. i was looking for something with a bit of a shine. Unfortunately this paint more resembles a satin finish, i had done some trim work in a lighter shade with ColorPlace semi-gloss with a brush and it had alot more shine to it than this paint had. Both in the areas where i used a brush and area where i used the foam roller , the finish was the same,. a nice satin finish when it was suppose to be gloss. I can not attest to the durability of this paint for this is the first time using this brand,. and also will be the last time i use it. Best to save yourself a little money and go with ColorPlace paint, repainting the kitchen with was painted with ColorPlace paint over 15 yrs ago and still holding up well,. ( just needed a change of color). So if you are in need of refinishing the inside of your house or room and just must have name brand paint,. i would suggest trying the Glidden brand,. otherwise save your money and go with Wal-Mart's ColorPlace brand and not waste your money with this brand of paint,. you wont be disappointed and will save a little money in the process.
Been buying paint at Walmart for 20 years, but this paint is terrible. Will never buy paint again from Walmart. After one year my whole house is peeling.
