[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some water stains on my master bathroom ceiling, that was caused by moisture from the skylight. I bought this product, and I'm very happy that I did, because it was easy to use and it worked too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the absolute best spray primer I've ever used! It's precise without any dryfall and it covers in just one coat. I highly recommend this product.
Honestly, we were not looking forward to this part of our renovation. We needed to cover a painting on the ceiling under a ceiling fan. This product made the job so easy and you would be hard pressed to find any remaining paint under the KILZ. Very pleased with the outcome.
great to use after repairing a roof leak .. worked amazing .. just be aware that you have to cover everything in the room ... micro dots of paint are everywhere ... if you don't
Don't stand under spray area without eye protection and keep your mouth closed!!!
I bought this to cover old water spots, it worked perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few roof leaks due to a hailstorm that punched through the material on my flat roof. Subsequent rains have caused staining on my ceilings. With the roof patched , I was able to effectively cover the staining with Killz, and the upward-facing nozzle makes it quicker and easier than any other way I've ever tried.
This did the best job of matching my ceiling color. I tried three other methods and they all failed to match the existing knockdown ceiling texture. I can still see the repair I did but only under certain lighting. All in all this did a great job. One word of caution cover twice as much area that you think you need to because there is a lot of very fine over spray to contend with.
I bought this product to cover a water stain on my daughter's ceiling. I moved the furniture and put the dogs in another room. The stain was 8 x 2 feet. I used two cans to give two coats. At first, I was happy that it covered pretty well until I looked in the mirror and saw that I was covered in paint. The worst part was that it created a dust ALL OVER the room and my pups walked through it on the way to the outside slider. I washed their paws but it wouldn't come off. Three days later, my small dog has been treated for swallowing small bits of the stain. Buyer beware that the dust from the paint goes EVERYWHERE!! I read the directions very carefully before use and felt like they should have mentioned the dust issue.
I think we got a bad can or something... the more we sprayed the ceiling, the darker the spot became. After three coats and allowing it to dry for 24 hours, we now have a 24" square brownish, oily-looking patch on our ceiling. So disappointed. I don't know... we shook the can for what seemed like 10 minutes to be sure it was properly mixed before application, too. Good thing it's the garage ceiling. We have another spot in our kitchen - no way I'm using this to cover it!
