Needed to fill in some holes in the drywall before painting and decided to try the Red Devil Onetime Lightweight Spackling Wall Filler. It's nice that the Red Devil spackling is sold in a small 8 oz container, which was more than what I needed. This stuff is very light weight and spread on easily with a putty knife. I filled in the holes and so far, no shrinkage. I did drop a little on the floor and it cleaned up very easily with a damp rag. There was no need to do any sanding because the spackling spread on nice and smooth. Red devil has been around for a very long time and has great products. The Red Devil Onetime Lightweight Spackling Wall Filler does what it's supposed to do. You can't go wrong with this spackling if you have small holes or cracks that need filled.
This really is lightweight stuff. Super easy to use. I tried it out on some old screw holes that were left behind from some old towel racks. Filled in the holes to the fact that once it dried I couldn't even find them. I never had to sand it. This stuff does really work well. Not sure about a big area but if you have holes to touch up , this is the product for you. Really fast dry time.
Quickly fix sheetrock cracks and holes with this easy repair putty. It is amazingly lightweight and dries very quickly. After patching a few holes it is ready to dry and paint - and it does dry fast. Just don't spread it too thick. It also sands smooth very nicely. A rookie can make great repairs! I like it a lot!
This Onetime light weight spackle is fantastic for all those small jobs. Filling nails holes or filling small cracks in walls and the like. Paintable within minutes and won't shrink or crack. Cleans up with water. Make sure your spackle area is clean and free of loose dry wall or dirt, then fill with putty knife application. Made in the USA
I am always doing some kind of home repair. I ordered the Red Devil Onetime lightweight spackling to fll in some nail holes in my Sheetrock. The Spackle does spread on smooth, it does dry fairly quickly and if you spread it thin, you can paint right over it. I like to lightly sand over Spackle to make sure you can't see the repair. With this product, it don't take much effort and your finished. The Spackle is super lite, it don't shrink like some after it's dry! You can use it for inside or outside. I haven't used it outside yet. Make sure the lid is closed tight where it don;t dry out. The 8 ounce is pretty small for small projects. If you have a lot to fill in, go with a bigger tub, it is well worth it. I have attached two photos of the product, it stays on your tool without sliding off. I do recommend the Red Devil lightweight Spackling for home or office use.
I got this sample of wall filler just after having a broom "accident" that put a hole in a wall. Perfect timing! When I opened the little container I immediately noticed differences from the old fashioned wall filler which I have used many times over the years. The old style plaster was similar to ready mix concrete in its consistency. You would press some in a hole, wipe off the excess, give it a day to dry, and repeat to fill the depression left when the plaster dried. The consistency of the new wall filler product immediately made me think of marshmallow fluff. It is so light I thought for sure all the air would squeeze out while I worked with it. It is not air mixed in. The filler stays lightweight and fluffy even after having been worked around a little bit. It also has zero noticeable shrinking. I will be able to paint right over the repair and the hole will be gone, leaving the landlord none the wiser.
ONETIME Spackling Review Okay, this stuff is so easy to use. Just like the container claimed. I had a nail hole in our drywall that had gotten larger over the years where it would no longer hold the nail. I also have a hole in hallway drywall from the pressure of a baby gate's rubber ring. So, I obtained this Red Devil Onetime spackling stuff. As you can see in the before and after pictures; it looks nice. Pictures do not show that it is flush with the wall but it is and dried perfectly. Now I will say it took me a couple tries to smooth it down with the little spackle puddy thing I bought because I am no pro, but I did get it down. Have a few more nicks and dings to fill from over 20+ years of kids before I paint but wanted to get my review up here before I got busy and forgot to do it. Y'all know how that goes I'm sure. This stuff dried quickly and is hard a rock. It has not cracked or shrunk any at all. I'll be using on the outside of my house next. Stuff I previous bought cracked and pulled away from the edges. This Red Devil ONETIME spackling has not done that so I am looking forward to using outside and see how it holds up. I say to go for it cause you only have a few bucks to loose and beats hiring someone to do this when you can handle it yourself. Easy clean up and no noxious fumes.
Great for wall repair. Will work on cracks, holes, dings, dents, etc... This product is soft, light, and easy to apply. Spreads evenly. Dries quickly. Doesn't crack, shrink, or sag. Doesn't have an odor. Requires very little sanding. I recommend using primer after sanding, before painting to obtain a finished look. A must have for any homeowner or anyone in the remodeling, construction, property maintenance, etc..business.
This spackle does well for filling small holes in the wall. Holes created by nails, crews, or tiny dings are easily filled by this. Larger holes would require a lot more work and finesse. This stuff spreads easily, doesn't shrink or crack, is paintable in mere minutes and no sanding is required with this. It is easily cleaned up with water. The directions are fairly straightforward and easy to follow. It is recommend to not use when it is going to rain within 25-48 hours of application. Clean up is easy. Just wash with water before it dries. For what it is worth, this came in handy since we are renovating and I would recommend! It will definitely help get your projects finished.
This spackling compound has a spongy texture that makes it hard to use on large holes, it doesn't layer easily because of the texture. However for small holes it works just fine because you don't have to use layers to fill small holes. It does dry quickly, which makes it probably perfect for your average task of filling nail or screw holes and then painting. It goes on and dries white.
