Flannel material is not absorbent, but these are cheap, so I guess they're good enough to buy as back-up burp cloths. I would definitel recommend spending the additional money to get the soft cotton cloth ones.
My sister bought me some burp rags kind of like this and I loved the size of them, but when I got these ones I was not impressed with the fabric. They are cute and I do love the size, but I would have to rate them lower because the fabric isn't exactly soft and it is kind of rough and not what I was expecting at all. If I were going to buy more burp rags I would look for different ones because I didn't really love these ones too much.
These burp cloths are a total joke. They arent absorbent at all, they are thick, hard and scratchy and are a very large and awkward shape and size. I bought some other gerber burp cloths from walmart before but those were terry and so much better. I couldnt find those anymore so I thought I would try the flannel.. BIG MISTAKE!! Do not waste your money on these
