It works for a short time. But the felt comes off and your left with a hard surface, which eventually if not noticed, the ball then becomes destroyed and if you have wood surfaces you will lead a trail behind. I bought quite a few spare pads, Now I have them and if I want to use them, I have to buy new balls. I bought this system so I did not have to pay the high prices for regular tennis balls or to cut new balls to fit walkers, but that was too hard. I am very disappointed.

The felt on the bottom wore off in 2-3 days. When the felt is gone, you are left with a hard rubber insert that drags on all surfaces and squeaks terribly as you go across hard surface floors.

Bought these on Saturday and had to install the replacement pads in 2 days. Should have lasted longer than that.

Got this item to replace the bottoms of the tennis balls when they ware out, thinking that they were cloth bottoms, but they are not. Plastic is too loud on the floors and scratches the floors.

Replacement Tennis Ball Glide Pads

These pads used to have a felt material bottom ( same material as the exterior of the tennis ball ) but the new pads with the same part number 10123 are now made from a harder plastic type material which probably lasts longer on concrete or ceramic tile but leaves marks on hardwood floors. Marks will come off after considerable scrubbing. I do not recommend .
