I used this with my son for the year he wore diapers. It worked great. I just put it together to use for baby #2. I lost the directions and still got it together in under 10 minutes. The shelves are press-wood but they hold diapers, wipes, normal baby products great.
We all know that baby furniture is expensive. For the money, you couldn't ask for a better deal. This set, which includes the bed and the changing table, is one of the most beautiful sets I've seen. I actually didn't have this picked out on my registry when I received it as a gift, but I was so pleased to see it in my son's nursery. It's sturdy, big, and it's JENNY LIND! I absolutely love it. It's got an antique-like feeling to it which makes it even more delicate looking, which is really what I was looking for.
This was our second changing table. We had a Jenny Lind that we had bought from a friend, after 3 kids it was getting a little weak, and then my son broke it by accident. The new one is so sturdy and my son is 36 pounds at 21 months and I feel very safe with him on it. It was definately a two person job to put it toghether, but it matches the bed and dresser that are both 6 years old great. I love the open shelves to store things.
i love this changing table. it blends well with my crib and dresser that i already have. it also looks nice. however, i've only used it for my two week old baby so i don't know how sturdy it is until i put a heavy child on it. but for now, it meets my expectations and it's a good deal for the price
This changing table it worth it if you are planning to only use it for one baby. I have just had my last baby and needed a changing table. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a table that is only going to be used for a short time. It went together pretty easy, and I feel that my baby is safe on it.
We have had this changing table for 6 years. I used it for two of my kids and my SIL borrowed it for one of her kids. It's worked great for all three. It still holds my 25-30 lbs 2 year old with no trouble. It was easy to put together and held up with no difficulties. I am in the process of giving it to another mom, so it's obvious I would recommend it to another. :) I put I use it everyday, but that was before. I don't really use it now since my daughter is out of diapers. :)
It was easy to put together. Havnt used it yet..baby is not due for a few more weeks. I received it from a friend as gift. The only problem I am having is..there were a few peices missing from box. It was 3 metal safety bars that go under each shelf(just for security of the shelves). We just measured it and got a few peices of wood and screwed our own into it. So..its all fixed.
I just got this as a baby shower present and built it a little over a week ago. When building it, it seems realllllyyyy unstable and even cracked a few times when my boyfriend was tightening some of the screws, at one point it cracked when he knocked his arm on one of the legs. I'm still not sure how stable it is but after being fully built i'm a little more trusting in it. I used two of the supports for the first shelf and just left the third unsupported but it still holds a few things. I'm nervous to see how long it will hold up after i have my baby and curious to see how long it lasts.
One of the wood bars that supports a shelf cracked in half upon assembly. I'm waiting to hear back from WM about a replacement. Otherwise, the tabel looks fine and appears as thought it'll be just fine for low-moderate use. I would probably have spent a bit more and gotten something sturdier if I were the Mom, and needed to use it daily. My guess is that the shelves probably won't hold much weight.
The shelves for this changing table are NOT solid wood; they are flimsy flexible, almost like cardboard with veneer. Like what you tack on the back of a build-it-yourself shelf. What is not stated on the website info is that it holds ONLY UP TO 20 POUNDS. Which after seeing the shelves, I can see why; from the looks, a package of diapers and wipes would have it bowing in the middle. I am returning this ASAP. Junk. See photos.
