I know there are less expensive baby mattresses out there (not that this one is over the top...) but I got it hoping that it will be a good mattress for my little one for years to come. He's slept very well on it so far (he's 4 months old) and it has a nice firmness to it. It seems to be a much better mattress than the one my mom has for half the cost.
I priced this same mattress online and in local retail stores and Walmart.com is the best bang for your buck. Not only was it considerably cheaper, free shipping to store, but its a great mattress and will be easy to clean when the inevitable messes arise.
Gift for my niece's first baby. She said it was better than the one she and "Dad" use. I ordered online & went to a Walmart to see it and try home-made designer sheets on it. They fit and "Mommy" loved it. Some of the following questions don't apply because it was a gift. I assume she'll use it daily when the baby arrives.
I can't say much for myself, but since buying the Sealy Baby - Ultra Rest Mattress, my 21 month old son has slept through the entire night, which has allowed my wife and I to get some much needed sleep. I can't say enough about the Sealy Baby - Ultra Rest Mattress.
My three-month-old granddaughter began sleeping through the night consistently after the first night on this mattress. She also naps longer. Happier baby, happier parents!
I bought one of these for my daughter before she was born (she is now 19 months) and I have been extremely happy with it the whole time. When it came to purchasing another mattress for my 2nd baby's crib (due in March) I did not hesitate to get the exact same one. These are SAFE, supportive and comfortable, very well made, and a super value.
I have triplets and received three different mattresses. My babies are now seven months and we have replaced the other two with this one. The babies seem more comfortable - on their sides, tummy or backs, they sleep very well. It also is a great fit and the construction is good (other mattresses had weak sides that collaped with babies weight). I would highly recommend this mattress, it's worth the extra money to buy.
I have this mattress in my 21 month old's new toddler bed. He loves it because it has more bounce than his crib mattress. It is a great transition from his hard crib mattress to a softer mattress like mine.

The sealy ultra rest mattress is a good buy for the price. it fits well in our crib from baby mod and our son sleeps well on it. I think that it is a little soft for a newborn but definantly a good mattress for a toddler.
