My changing table unit arrived with a small crack. I used putty and white paint to fix, not really an issue. Instructions were not the best we have ever read, it did take longer to assemble than the 1hour that the instructions said that it would take. Some of the pre-drilled holes were not lined up where they should have been. IF YOU HAVE EVER PUT FURNITURE TOGETHER BEFORE...you should be able to figure this out. If not, maybe consider spending BIG bucks for something pre assembled. For the money, this is a quailty product that I am impressed with. I would buy this product again...and struggle to assemble as finished product is beautiful,functional and sturdy.
The dresser combo is great size for changing pad with great amount of space for extras on top (i.e. lamp diapers, lotions etc.) Good assembly instructions. Very durable construction. Lots of room!! I really like this unit and think it is the best for the price. Shipping was not a good expeirence though. The item was lost in transit twice and it took me over a month to receive it.
Still trying to assemble the product. It appears that the preassembled endpiece insert was installed upside down, so the holes for the door hinges are on the backside of the combo. I hope this just happened to my unit. Also, the drawer knobs are made of low density wood causing the screws the spin freely inside the knobs (causing loose knobs). All of this can be fixed with additional work, but plan on spending 3-4 hours assembling the unit, instead of the 1 hour listed in the instruction manual. Aside from all the complaints, it seems to be a sturdy piece of furniture that we'll get good use out of.
This changing table/dresser was as expected and is good for the price. It has a bright white finish and feels sturdy once assembled. It was difficult to assemble. It took my husband and father (who's a carpenter) nearly 3 hours to complete it. When it was assembled, there were some gaps where the wood pieces meet that could not be forced together, so looks a bit bad in places. But as I said, these gaps don't really make it feel any less sturdy. Overall I'm pleased with the finished product and would buy it again.
This changing table/dresser is really nice. Great size, good quality. The only problem we had is that it came with Part Number 15 (one of the sides) cracked. The manual says not to return the dresser to Walmart, but to request the defective part to the manufacturer. We emailed the customer support and filled up a form on their website as well. After a week not hearing back from the manufacturer, my husband called them, and they informed us that they could not send us that specific part because it was too big and we should return the changing table/dresser to Walmart. Very nice piece of furniture!!! Just do not rely on the manufacturer sending ANY piece to you if its either a missing or defective part. I would recommend just return the dresser to Walmart and get another one.
This takes 2 hours or less, but you need a drill. Be careful-my husband cracked a piece from drilling in a screw, and its visible from the top. I also noticed 2 other cracks on another piece. While this was much cheaper than purchasing from a furniture store, I was at least expecting something a little nicer that wouldnt crack so easliy. Of course, after assembling it, who wants to bother with taking it back? The drawers do not fit in evenly, either and its very noticeable. I really wasnt expecting Pottery Barn quality, but I at least though everything would fit together tightly. There are spaces on the top from where the pieces dont fit snugly as well. I would recommend spending more to buy a nicer piece already assembled, or spend less and get something probably just as good. I feel this should cost under $200 for the quality.
Unfortunately, pieces of the crib arrived split, cracked, and dented. I had to wait two weeks for some replacement parts, and the replacement parts came SPLIT, CRACKED, and DENTED in the exact same spots. Now we have to wait ANOTHER two weeks to get replacement parts and do not know if they will come before our son. I am very disappointed at the Delta customer service that never calls back or follows up on needing replacement parts. Don't waste your time with Delta!!
When we opened the box, we found that two parts were broken! We still decided to build it and it took about 3 hours to do it all. The intructions are terrible, it wouldn't hurt to have some words in it. Even after assembling, I feel as though the pieces will fall off anytime.
This product is extremely hard to put together and several pieces were the wrong size. Luckily my father has a saw or I would have had to return the dresser after spending almost 4 hours putting it together because the bottoms of the drawers were the wrong size. It is fairly sturdy but there are small gaps in some places that are basically unavoidable.
I would never buy another Delta product again! I could not believe the quality of this dresser! Not only did the holes not come pre drilled but I had to cut the boards that go in the drawers and make my own measurements for the fittings to fit correctly! I have put together many different types of furniture and this was by far the worst! I know they say you get what you pay for and if that is true this dresser should of cost no more than $50!!! I'll be lucky if it makes it to my sons 1st birthday!
