Its just like Apple Juice, but very low cal!
When we first found this apple drink mix we weren't expecting a product we would really, really enjoy. We couldn't imagine anything with so few calories would be able to deliver anything close to real apple flavor. Since then my family and I have pretty much become addicted to this wonderful apple drink mix. It is delicious ice cold mixed as instructed, but also equally yummy microwaved hot in a mug.
I love this apple drink. I get the individual sticks and drink it on the go. Sometimes I warm it up and it's like apple cider! This is a great drink!
When the remade the great value line, they also changed the formula. It no longer tastes much like apple juice but watered down carmel color. It also does not dissolve very well. It once was a very great value. I found a package in a store of the older green lable. As you can see from the old formula ingredients list, as follows, a big change for the worse. Old: citric acid, malic acid, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, natural flavor,maltodextrin,ascorbic acid(vitamin c),caramel color,aspartame,acesulfame potassium,cellulose gum, calcium silicate, magnesium oxide New and inferior: Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Natural Flavors, Calcium Citrate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Caramel Color, Aspartame*, Potassium Citrate, Acesulfame Potassium, Cellulose Gum, Calcium Silicate, Magnesium Oxide
