Gave this to my stepson for his birthday. He had so much fun with the VR portion as well as the hands on experience! Was hesitant with some reviews, but I think people just need to be sure to read the directions. Was very simple and straightforward and we had no problems! Definitely will be gifting one of these VR sets for his friends birthday this spring.
Got this for my niece and she absolutely loves it!
My grandson had a blast! We’ve tried several of these VR kits from several different companies and this one was a lot of fun. The volcano itself was easy to assemble and my grandson had a lot of fun with it. The VR is especially fun with the volcano action. I felt the price was reasonable and it would make a really nice gift.
As a homeschooler I use these priceless and informative VR series to teach my children all types of science; from planets to now Volcanoes! Not only are they ingeniously put together, but they still provide for much independency as my child ‘s sparkling mind becomes more inquisitive on each section of a subject. The VR glasses are superb! We use ours with iPhones 11 and the images and video are so spectacularly life like. My child interacts with complete surprise, excitement and even a little bit trepidation when she’s being chased by a roaring, stomping T-Rex. The large colorful and interactive book is quite amazing, and the narration included is just right, without being over intrusive.Just aim the VR googles at a special icon and the smart book takes over, pulling your child into an amazing new world! Even I’ve learn loads of new info and I’m college educated. These VR Series are simply invaluable and indispensable IMO!
Had a great time with this hands on science kit. The plaster mini-volcano was easy to make and customize. Instructions were also easy to follow and actually useful. My son took his time to paint his volcano with the included paints and has added it to his collection of favorite science projects. The poster that came with the kit is up over his bed.The downloadable app was easy to use and the VR experiences were amazing. I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are seeing, but the virtual reality experiences worked fine for both me and my son.Overall a great science kit, well worth the price. Highly recommended.
A great little idea for kids. A good gift potential that would work for most any occasion. The volcano kit is a good mix of science and creativity allowing you to customize the volcano as well as a decent science experiment to make the volcano erupt. The VR set isn’t the most technically advanced but it’s a neat addition. A very cool gift for growing children.
This was super cool for my 11 year old. He's really into science so this is right down his lane. He thought it was cool that it had a virtual aspect to it.
I love getting these types of fun learning experiences for the kids, they need so much of these playing adventures... now more than ever! I have a big dinosaur and volcano fan, he loves exploring and learning more and more about them. He is 6, but to build and play with this set, he invited his 7 and 10 year old cousins, I helped them build the volcano, they were really into it... I must admit it could be a little better as far as the quality, mostly the VR, but in general they had fun and that's what matters.
My son liked this, he has been wanting to do a volcano and thie was perfect on doing it the correct way.
My nephews love hands on activities and this set was anticlimactic! Here's my list to simplify everything down!Positives:- Hands On:The Instructions are clear and explain how to build the volcano!- Creative:The kids had fun painting the volcano into super cool colors!Negatives:- VR Experience:Just Meh!- Actual Volcano Eruption:It was incredibly anticlimactic amd truly made the experience boring. Maybe the vile inside the volcano could have been larger for a stronger reaction? I'm unsure.Final Thoughts?Overall the eruption and VR setup were a letdown. It's a meh science set!
