After years of seeing people drive away from our on farm retail shop, this has solved our problem Motion sensors gave us false alerts. The Mighty Mule E-Z Gate Driveway Alarm performs exactly as described.
Various motion sensing driveway alarms give false alarms when sensing a nearby dog, deer, possum, armadillo or other animal. Many of those alarms are even tricked by dappled sunlight, making them give so many alarms that they are useless. This driveway alarm uses the presence of a moving mass of metal as its only trigger event. That means unless deer begin wearing armor or your robot dog wanders too close, the only alarm will be when a car or truck or other vehicle comes down your driveway. Ours is over 250 feet between sensor and receiver. As long as the receiver is in the window, it works perfectly.
TRIED 3 OTHER BRANDS THIS IS THE ONLY ONE WHOS SIGNAL THAT WOULD PENETRATE OUR BRICK HOME WITH OUT PUTTING IT NEXT TO A WINDOW
Skeptical at first . I followed directions adjusted as described and, volia. Simple instal decent price. Tim3 will tell. These things have a tendency to malfunction about 3 months in. Fingers crossed. I will follow up either way. Go mighty mule.
It works well, we now know when anyone comes thru the gate of our ranch. Distance from gate to building is around 300 feet. Easy to install.
Installed about 30 feet away from roadway, but was getting false alarm from unknown source at same time each morning. School busses and trucks were not the cause. Adjusted the sensitivity control on the transmitter way down until the false triggering quit. It still works correctly with any car entering the driveway. Only problem with the system is insufficient volume from the receiver. I bought a second receiver and now have one in the front and one in the back of the house. It would be better if the receiver was louder.
Works great. Had to do minor adjustment, after set up. READ the directions !! Can't figure out why some people had trouble. Works for me. I have the base in the bedroom and can still hear it clearly in the kitchen and living room. Priced right as far as I'm concerned.
This works great except it needs a louder alarm or volume control. I can hear it in my one level home and being no more than 50 feet from the receiver. It would also be better if it would ring two or 3 times to get my attention.
Range is about half what is advertised. Volume of alarm is way too low.
Product seemed to work well ,picking up cars and trucks only ,no false alarms . The problem for me was the alarm not loud enough to hear. I have returned this product.
