I compared this with the built-in freezer thermometer and they agreed with each other so I now use it for my chest freezer. It can be a little hard to read but has a highlighted 0 to -20 zone that helps. I would like it better if I could find one a little bigger.
The value of this item as well as being able to read it very well makes it great!!
This thermometer worked as it should. I was able to adjust my frig temp to the correct temp by using this thermometer.
Works fine and reads accurate when checked against a digital unit. The red visual line in the first one I purchased was separated so make sure you check it before leaving the store. Other than that it is a back to basic unit that works.
I was suprised to find my refrigerator was at a constant 25 degrees. It seemed strange, though. Freezing is 32 degrees, but the jug of milk didn't have ice in it. I then pulled the thermometer out of the fridge and put it on the counter. It said my house was a chilly 60 degrees. Needless to say, this thermometer is junk. I suggest spending a little more money to purchase a thermometer that works properly.
Does not work properly. Shows cold temps being 8 degrees colder and warmer temps higher than actual. Don't buy!
I ordered this thermometer to put in my new freezer. The 1st one had to be returned because it was reading over 100 all the time. Got a replacement and it seemed to work OK for a brief time. It has a 1/4" space in the red liquid so I don't know what the actual temp is. Very poor quality.
Didn't work
I purchased three units. My intention was to monitor the zones in my refrigerator and freezer. One is in my freezer, one is in my refrigerator, and the third unit is in the trash. The third unit came to me with gaps in the dyed fluid that indicates the temperature. At first I tried to freeze the unit, hoping the fluid collect itself through surface tension when the fluid would contract from the cold. That never happened and so I threw that third unit in the trash.
Didn't work
