I have received my AcuRite Mini Thermometer 00320 from Walmart Spark Reviewer just in time for the warmer spring and summer weather. My husband is always asking for the outside temperature. This AcuRite Mini Thermometer will read Fahrenheit scales starting at O degrees to 120 degrees. It will read Celsius scales starting at -20 degrees to 5o degrees. This AcuRite Mini Thermometer can be used indoors or outdoors. We have it on our screened in porch. In the summer when it reads 75 degrees we turn on the ceiling fan to circulate the air around the porch. The AcuRite Mini Thermometer can hang by the suction cup that is supplied. It will stick to most any glass surface . Or you can remove the suction cup and it can hang by a small tack. This thermotor measures measures 4" long X 2" wide. This thermometer may be small but it is top notch accurate. It doesn't take up much space and is hardly noticed. It can be put anywhere it is needed at any season or any reason with no fuss. I will recommend this AcuRite Mini Thermometer 00320 to family and friends.
I have three dogs and an 8 year old son who frequently use our backyard, but we have no shade over our concrete patio and we live in Las Vegas so the ground gets extremely hot. This thermometer helps me to determine if the ground and rocks are going to burn their paws and his feet. It also teaches my son about temperatures, and how to read a thermometer which is very useful since we are homeschooling now bc of the quarantine. Easy to install, and it doesn't look tacky or out of place.
I was pleasantly surprised that this little thermometer did the job. As you can see in the photos provided my room temperature was around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, while outside the temperature was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit however, it took about 5 minutes for the thermometer to change from room temperature, to outside temperature so you'd have to be patient as it does not change right away, but it does get the job done. ..... Still curious, I checked the accuweather forcast and it was right on point with my mini yet very accurate thermemeteor's temperature. I would recommend. Cheers!
If you want to know the temperature and don't want anyone to notice your thermometer then this might be the one for you. At only 4" x 2" it definitely won't stand out. I originally stuck it to the outside of my window but it was too difficult to see the temperature due to the size. I found a better use for it inside my 12 volt travel cooler. It doesn't take up any space and allows me to monitor the temperature of my food on day trips. It works great for that.
I thought this was a great idea; a small, lightweight thermometer I could put on a window or sliding glass door, either inside or outside, so I could check the temperature anytime with just a glance. It turns out that is a good idea, but the actual thermometer simply will not stay on the window, inside or outside, no matter what I've tried. I cleaned the glass repeatedly, cleaned the little suction cup--nothing helped. I will see if I can find another suction cup that will fit, and give that a try. I still think it's a good idea, so I'll see what I can come up with. It is small, wouldn't take up much space or interfere with the view. I propped it up and checked, and it does seem to register temp correctly. It just needs a better way to stay put! If you use it, it reads from 0-120 deg. F & -20 to +50 deg. C. so you could get the temp in whichever you prefer.
One of three (3) thermometers arrived broken.
it was packed in a box with 2, 7lbs containers of Hersheys and it wasnt wrapped up. likr thr glass isnt going to break
The AcuRite 6" Analog Thermometer is actually 4" (FOUR INCHES!), and that's the plastic. The thermometer itself is 2.5". Fahrenheit readings are in increments of twenty, so this thing is pretty useless unless you have your face right up on it, or you just need a ballpark temp within 10 degrees. It would work ok inside a door frame at eye level to check as you're going in or out. Or anywhere you can stand really close to it. If I had seen this in the store, I would have seen how tiny it is and not bought it. I bought it online, and honestly didn't look at it very closely. Too small. Walmart needs to change the product description. It's more than deceptive. It's a lie. I attached at pic with a measurement to this review.
It is 11 degrees today. Put this outside and it says it is 60 degrees.
The suction cup does not stick to anything. I tried every surface in the house. It falls off of everything. I've cleaned it and still won't stick to anything. I figured I could still use the thermometer stick by letting it sit in an area or by the window. I noticed the temperature would not move. I held it in my hand for several minutes and it stayed on 70 F. I placed in the window over night and it stayed at 70 F, even though the temperature dropped that night to 40 F. I put it in the fridge overnight to see if it would move and it moved to 60 F, the fridge is colder than that. Maybe I received a defective one.
