We bought this swing set for out two boys, 3 and 6. It was a great price. I was surprised by the the good quality of the wood. The plastic parts are also good quality. It looks great. The directions are very well written and easy to follow. It definitely takes two people to build. The hardest part was to build the slide, where you have to bend the bottom plastic part into the side slots. It is a great product for the price. The boys love it!
My husband and I, along with serveral family members, purchased this as a large Christmas present for our kids. Now that the weather is nice, we finally put it up and it is seriously the best Christmas present ever! Our kids love the multiple things that there are to do (swings, slide, fort) and it is helping teach them how to share and look out for each other, for our older child often helps the little one so he can play too.
VERY GOOD PRICE FOR THIS SWING SET. NEED TWO OR MORE TO PUT TOGETHER. DON'T WORRY YOU WILL BE HAPPY!
This is a great product. I sealed all the wood before putting it together. The instructions were a bit confusing at times, so I needed to look at the picture a few times to make sure I was putting the boards in the right places, but in general, it was VERY easy to assemble. Also, I had lost some parts (I am confident they were in the original package but we did some cleaning and lost some parts). Adventureland Playsets shipped out the replacement parts at no cost, even though it was my fault. I will DEFINITELY do business with them again. One comment for assembly . . . leave all the screws, etc, in their original bags and only take out what you need for each step. This will save you a lot of confusion and hunting around for the right parts.
Great product for the money, very sturdy. Took two days to put up for one person . Great deal Grand daughter loves it.
My husband and I recently purchased this swing set. Our 2 year old son loves it. We read many reviews and followed their helpful tips. It took us 13 hours to sort and assemble the swing set. I'm so glad we organized everything first. I can't imagine putting this swing set together without organizing first. The instructions were easy to follow and were broken down nicely. My husband is very handy so I mostly helped with organizing materials for each step. I did however assemble the portion that holds the roof. We were nervous the swing set would not hold my husband. We plan to add more support in the future. I'm sure our boys will have years of enjoyment from this set.
I was actually very impressed overall with the swingset. Putting it together took us a total of two days and a couple of the boards did split a little. We also had an incident with there being two boards, one listed as W and the other listed as M and neither one had any type of line under it to indicate which was which. In the end we realized that we had used the wrong boards. It also would have been nice to have the swings spread out just a little more. If the kids put their elbows out they will run into eachother. One last issue we had was the fact that there were no boards seperating the sandbox from the swinging area. We ended up putting a few extra boards across so that no kids can get kicked in the head. Overall the directions were a little confusing and as said, it did take us two days to put up but the swingset turned out great and the kids love it.
I bought this for my daughters for their birthday. The 3 yr old calls it the BIG Playground. I put infant seats on it and it is perfect for both of them. The 3yr old has no problem climbing the rock wall and both of them love to eat their dinner on the picnic bench. Very good value for the money
We recently purchased the swing set, it comes in 2 boxes that you have to pay freight shipping on. One of which is the lumber and the other the accessories. The lumber is a soft low grade wood that is stained, not water resistant. It is mostly predrilled, and does come with everything that you will need except for tools! It took 6-9 hours with 2 people on and off again. It is nice for the price. The quality of wood could be better, but it beats starting from scratch. We decided to anchor the swing bar to a tree so that it wouldn't weaken the fort.
I read almost all the reviews before I bought this swingset for my three year old daughter. She loves it, I loved the price and the assembly wasn't bad at all. Here are the few tips I can offer: - Sort all the pieces before you start - PRE DRILL all holes that are not pre drilled from the factory. - DO NOT put the swings and gliders on the main beam before the main beam is attached to the fort. (I don't know why they thought this was a good idea, I didn't and I am glad) - I would consider myself a handyman and have many tools and it took me (and 1 helper) about 6 hours from start to finish to assemble this. I think this swingset will provide many years of enjoyment for my kids. Greay value!
