We purchased this set for our kids, going on two years ago, and it has held up pretty well. They are now 7 and 4, and they still use it a lot. We think the size is perfect, not too big or small, and all of the features get used. The only thing I'd say is the wood looks worn pretty fast, so be sure to water proof it. The piece above the steps split last summer, but customer service sent us a new one within a week. All in all, it was money well spent.
I can hardly keep my kids off this thing; they love it. Believe what they say for the time required for setup. I'm a pretty handy guy but it still took my father-in-law and me about 9 hours. I was surprised to see how thin and flimsy some of the wood is but it has held up just fine and even supports my weight of 170 lbs albeit with a little creaking and groaning. The steps have some wear already after a couple months and will need some maintenance to keep them from becoming a splinter hazard. The "rock wall" is somewhat of a joke since the boards on which the rock holds are mounted are spaced apart. It's basically like adding the holds to a ladder. Then again, my kids are way too young still to view the rock wall as a challenge to be overcome.
