After a long day out in the sun, this product helps to calm and hydrate my skin
soothes without feeling sticky, light on the skin.
Have not used yet but I truly enjoy Pipette and this will be a great item to have for our beach days. We'll definitely be prepared with it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved it! It sinks right in like a light serum. Instead of lotion, I've been reaching for this gel at night after showering during this brutal heat wave to help my skin stay hydrated. I can also see myself use it in the colder moths before thicker lotions to layer in the moisture.
I haven't used this on any sun burns yet but I have used it on my eczema and wow! It's very soothing and sinks in fast so I can layer on the Pipette eczema lotion for extra moisture and soothing. Love this stuff! I'm also excited to try this on my face since I have rosacea for some more soothing properties there! Definitely get it!
Very easy to rub in and has a bit of a soothing cooling effect, but not necessarily moisturizing. Coupled with a good lotion it was nice for a bit of sunburn.
Nice product. Doesn't leave a noticeable residue after applied. I do have to be careful when opening the tube, if it's tilted down then a bunch of products comes pouring out right when the top is opened. Otherwise I love that it's odorless.
I haven't really needed this I am using the pipette sunblock this summer and am very diligent about reapplying at least every 3 hours. The aftersun gel does seems hydrating though I think it leaves you feeling a little sticky.

I'm not really sure why this product is so highly rated and reviewed - I love Pipette as a brand and have personally used the Baby Shampoo & Wash almost every day for years and have loved their other lotions in the past. I appreciate the gentle formulations and inclusion of squalane. I purchased the After Sun Gel with high hopes of using it on my face/body in a daily sense but found it to be extremely drying - to the point where my skin is tight and uncomfortable after use. Tighter & dryer than just my normal, cleansed, unmoisturized skin. It also pills like crazy after mostly drying down, even when used alone and not in conjunction with other products, and has the weirdest texture (gloopy/runny/wet and looks kind of separated.) I'm almost all the way through my tube (hate wasting products) and have played with applying it in different ways, always with the same results. Thought maybe I received a bad batch - but purchased directly through this website and not a third-party seller. Maybe I'm using this gel incorrectly by applying it daily to unburnt, adult skin but their description does state "...skincare for the whole family". I honestly can't imagine applying this gel to a sunburn if it's this drying on normal skin. As a positive it does smell really nice (a little like apples) and the packaging is beautiful as always.
