We let the kids fly this in the basement and it does really well with avoiding obstacles. It is more fun outside though, especially when it is hooked up to your phone.
Received this as a Christmas present, and took it out that day. Charges very fast, but as it says the charges only lasts about 10-15 and goes down faster when all the bells and whistles are turned on. Seems to be the industry standard with drones though for flight time duration. All in all, great product, really like the camera, takes time to get used to all the controls for flying and recording.
I am new to "droning" and really fell into this particular model. Great control, battery only lasts ~7 min. Still, knowing that you have to plan accordingly. I have been flying around the pendant lights in the kitchen. Looking forward to flying over the alligator that resides on the shores of our local pond.
My son is 8. He has no problems controlling the drone. Says it's the best present ever. He drives while my 6 year old watches through the vr glasses. They both love it! He's had trouble uploading video to laptop. He thinks it's the battery life of drone. We have to try it again. Great product!
charged it up and made 1st flight. worked great but put away for Christmas gift.,
It's battery life is extremely short and the range of flight isn't what you'd expect but it's a good drone for beginners. I would have preferred something with a little more power or capacity.
This item did arrive very quickly, however, it isn't working properly and will not hold a charge. We are also having problems with the video freezing up. And when we called air hogs about the charging problem instead of replacing it we were told they would send us "replacement parts" and we have to actually cut off pieces of the first drone and replace them! Not happy about that! And that was 3 weeks ago and still haven't received the parts! It flew well for the two minutes it did fly when we first received it, but haven't been able to use it since!
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He flew it and charged it 3 times that day. On the fourth time it would not turn on.
I bought this product a month ago for myself for Christmas and it has never worked at flies 1 inch off the ground and then shuts down very disappointing !
Already came with one propeller not working. Did not fly upward except for about a foot from the ground and turned over sideways. Returned
