Nice indoor helicopter. We crashed it into the Christmas tree a couple of times trying to get it started, but after that, it was a lot of fun to play with. The styrofoam body makes it almost impossible to damage it during a crash. My son thoroughly enjoys it!
I am an RC aviator. I bought this product about a month ago. I see people have problems with it spinning in circles. This is due to a build-up of debris on the main and boom rotor. Clean off both shafts and trim it out. It will fly perfectly. I feel this is a high quality heli and would recommend it to everybody
I bought this for a 11 year old boy. He loved it! It was quite small and I'm not sure how it will hold up--this is a pretty rough kid. However, the first thing he said was, "it's cute!" He was very excited and couldn't wait to try it. He didn't seem to have too much trouble getting a handle on it. For the price, I'm very satisfied.
I was so glad I bought this heliocopter for my nephews, age 8 and 9. They had so much fun, even when it was raining out. And I'm glad I bought an extra one - for their dad! The only problem was that all 3 devices worked on Channel A. It would have been nice to be able to set them to different channels so they could all fly them at the same time, independently.
I bought the ($25) stinger model for my grandson and one for myself. It is so much fun! I am 50+ years old and I think it is great. It will fly, crash, fly, spin, circle the room and crash land again and again. I suppose I have charged it at least 25 times and crashed about 75 times. I fly it all over the living room and in the basement at home. It does fly about 8-10 minutes on a full charge. If you keep the fuzz off the tail rotor shaft, it will fly pretty straight as you gently operate the controls. It is remarkably durable. I know it will wear out soon as the motor is a little noisy after so many "runs" but for the money it is a hoot! I took it to my family's house for New Year's and everyone took turns with it. It is a survivor. If you want superior quality, spend $200+ at the hobby store and good luck to you. But for fun that will not hurt your pocketbook, this might be it. Even the "Big" kids make the funny faces while operating and watching this toy. The difference between men/boys...it is still the toys!
Gave this to my 13 year old for something to open at an extended family Christmas get together. He loved it, and had all the little kids mesmerized. It's so little that they all wanted to catch it. Lucky for all of us, it's pretty easy to fly so he could keep flying it away from them. Only negative is that it only runs for 5ish minutes before it needs a 20 minute charge.
This was my third purchase of a Havoc Heli. I would not buy another Mini Havoc Heli. This Heli is very difficult to control, as it basically spins out of control. Trim it left and then you find yourself trimming it to the right to correct - basically, I have spent over 3 hours trying to trim the Mini Havoc and get a decent flight out of it, but it is basically impossible. To counter act this statement, go with the bigger Havoc Heli. Gonna take some time to get used to flying, but once you have mastered hovering and trimming you should get some enjoyment out of this!
Have cleaned the propellers several times, stills flies in circles. Back propeller ended up breaking off. However, my child still loves it. I would only recommend this at a much cheaper price, like $10 or less.
I bought this product for my son as a christmas gift, him and his father both had alot of fun with it when it was actually in the air.the fly time is too short and it really don't do a whole lot, only a lot of spinning before take off. did i mention that after two or three days of play it was useless, could'nt fly at all.At least it makes a good ornament in my son's room.
I bought this for my daughter which is 9 years old. We flew it 1 time, it hit the floor and that is all she wrote. It will not fly anymore and it sits on her shelf. For as much as we paid for this, it should have not broken the first time we used it. I would not recommend this for anyone!
