It's great to have on hand for all purposes! So far I've used it to refill liquid hand soap. I use it in the shower as body wash. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs as shampoo.

I have long, thick hair that got really dried out after trying to get skunk spray out with baking soda...my hair became brittle and my regular shampoo / conditioner did not help at all. I started using this as a weekly shampoo, followed by a light shea/hemp spray leave in conditioner. The black soap cleans but leaves my hair nourished - my hair is much improved after two washes (over two - three weeks). I also do not need to use moisturizer any more now that I use it as a body wash.
Helped immensely with my husbands eczema. Highly recommend. I use this as a face wash as well and love it
The smell of this soap is incredible and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. However, it does not lather the way I like and seems to have a thinner consistency so I have to use more of it.
I just received my order and after just one use my skin felt so clean and smooth but without that stripping feeling. Even though I was hoping the scent would smell more vanilla-y, I am still happy with the product. I can't wait to order it again.
I normally use African Black soap in the form of a bar, but decided to use this particular product to try something new. I've been dealing with mild eczema breakouts for the past two or three years, and had grown accustomed to utilizing black soap to cleanse as well as to heal scarring. Although the bar soap could be a little tough for my eczema spots to handle, it still was pretty good at fighting back any new itchy spots forming on my skin. When I tried this product, I didn't experience any of the burning I normally did when using black soap. Alaffia's African Black Soap is clearly much gentler, but still effectively cleans my skin, offers the same healing effects, and also doubles as a GREAT facial wash. The only negatives I can say about this product is that I tend to need to use a lot to get a "fuller" effect", although this may be due to my own user preference and heavy handedness. I expected the smell to also be a little bit more vanilla-y, but the almond scent definitely overpowers it. All it all, I really enjoyed this product, and would definitely buy again!
Felt great after the shower. Definitely should follow up with a good moisturizer.
