So far so good! With flu season...and allergies, pollen, dust, mold, fungus and spores floating around everywhere...my family couldn't be happier. The sneezing, itchy/watery eyes/nose and scratchy throat/coughing went away in a matter of a few days! Thank you for making a product that works as described!!! Purchased 5 units for our hands-on science center that is in a building where we don't have control over the air handling system. The Alen units have been a wonderful way to purify the air for our visitors and increase their confidence to return to regular trips with their children. The units run extremely quietly, and we especially appreciate the display that shows the air quality in a colored ring. The locking feature is important in our public space.
This is a quality machine. I put this in my man cave, which I'm currently spending even more time in due to quarantine. This purifier makes a difference. I leave it on the auto setting and I can tell it's working because it automatically increases the fan speed whenever I pop a bag of popcorn. So it's definitely detecting the air quality.
I was perhaps a bit shocked how physically BIG this unit is but it's stylish and I no longer notice it. What I do notice is CLEAN AIR. We have a lot of allergy problems in my household and the Alen BreathSmart 75i seems to be doing an excellent job of removing particles, odors and pet dander from the house. You can actually watch it work. The status light tells you the quality of the air. When somebody goes in or out of the house or something fragrant is cooking, the status typically changes to lower quality and the "auto" setting kicks the fan up higher. If it isn't working fast enough for you, you can manually turn the fan up to high speed and the air is typically clean in minutes. And it's QUIET. We don't even notice it, most of the time.
The 75i went right to work cleaning up the air in my open concept living/dining area. Now I run it continuously on the auto mode. It's super quiet. Occasionally it shows a green ring and runs a few minutes till the ring turns blue then continues on lowest setting. We have noticed a huge difference in the air quality, we blow our nose far less with the 75i in the house. No regrets at all.

Love it. Easy to use. Quite. Can turn the lights off so no light shows in your while sleeping. When on high has a soothing soft fan sound that blocks out noise yet isn't too loud. Love the 75i with its air quality color ring. Lets you know what the air quality is currently in your home. It would be nice to have that in all models. The 45i I got for my bedroom, it is smaller, does not do that. I also love how you can pick your panel color. I picked two different colors for my two units to match the wood flooring in the rooms I put them in. It's nice when the air quality is bad outside to come home to clean air in your home...or rather cleaner air. I will say my unit was in high and working hard cleaning the air during the Canada smoke hazardous air quality days we had here. Mine unit usually stayed blue which is the best air quality when I got. I soon as I turned it on it was red, the one of the worst air quality colors in my house but after running it it went down through all the colors til it was blue. It goes from purple, the worst to red, orange, green, blue, the best. Well during those days my unit stayed at orange. While the air quality outside was maroon which is worse than purple. It was in high the whole time and never made it to blue. I think in situations like that one would probably need multiple units. But it made a huge difference during those days even if it didn't make it to blue. Outside I was feeling sick when I was at work..but once I got home to better air I felt better. I recommend Alen air purifiers. They also come with a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that.
Everything went smoothly. The online ordering was easy to navigate, with no surprises. The order shipped quickly and arrived before I thought it would. It was securely packed. Setup was a breeze. It is very quiet. I plan to let it run 24-7. The design blends well. Overall, the whole experience has been first class.
