Shipped fast. Well packaged. Kit is awesome. Plays great. Better than I would of imagined. Glad I made the purchase.
I bought this hoping for an upgrade from the summons sdk7 only to find much of the equipment virtually identical to that of the Simmons. It appears that they are both made at the same factory and just slapping different badges on them. What a disappointment. There were some improvements although very minor. Not very loud, hihat (virtually identical) pedal just as clunky. Save your money and buy a better set Alesis just not the same company I guess.
I must say I expected more fom Alesis. I had an old Simmons sdk7 and there are so many similarities. The hi hat pedals are virtuay identical, (%26 perform the same way, lousy). The bass pedal and pad much the same. The mesh pads are nicer but the rims are too high. Overall it looks like they were both made on the same assembly line. The Alesis is such a disappointment. Save your money and buy a better set this one has no soul
WARNING: this unit does not provide full volume with headphones. I tried endlessly with SONY MDR 7506 headphones (industry standards) and I couldn't get the volume to drown out the sound of the sticks on the hi hats and cymbals. Company was no help in troubleshooting and when given the choice they opted to lose me as a (first-time) customer. Google search this and you'll see other similar claims. BUY BEWARE!!
