My daughter is 5 1/2 years old and she absolutely loves this item. She makes cards and things to hang on her wall. She will play with this for hours. It is also really nice that it doesn't require batteries or a plug. Her little 2 yr old brother loves to play along with her as well. It is a must buy. It keeps my two little ones that argue all the time to work together.
This was a hit for my 5 and 6 year old nephews for Christmas. The hand powered spinner is easy enough for one operator to use while dripping the paint at the same time. It comes with like 20 blank white papers and a few 'make your own' photo frames. It's not that messy and it comes with a shield so the paint doesn't get all over while you're spinning. I would reccomend this and would buy it again as a birthday gift for someone else.

I had this same toy when I was younger and I had to purchase it for my daughter. She plays with it a lot and clean up is super easy, just wipe the wet paint out with a napkin or paper towel. She is 5 years old and very much into doing things on her own, this toy allows her that freedom without covering the house with paint. Great gift idea, great toy for being creative, great toy all around.
Easy to use, fun
I purchased this for my 5 year old grand daughter and she really enjoyed it. At first I squeezed the handle and she let droplets of paint into the spinner but soon she was doing the handle also. Her 2 1/2 year old sister also liked making pictures - I had to watch her though because she tended to squeeze the paint bottle and squirt out too much paint. All in all, I feel it was a good purchase. As other reviewers have noted, the splash guard is rather flimsy but does work. My daughter who is now 31 yrs old, had a similar toy when she was young and I remember it being much sturdier but that seems to be the way it is with lots of the toys (ie Lite Brite, Spirograph) now.
This is a fun activity to do with my grandchildren.
