My daughter is disabled and she finds working with the loom and loops is easy and fun to do. The quality of the Alex loops are so much better then any other manufacturer , that we have found . Just wish they would offer larger quantities of individual colors rather than the big pack of assorted ones! We give it an A+!
When I was a little girl, I made potholders all the time. I stopped because the loops seemed to get stiffer and hard to manage. This is not he case with these hoops. My students love them. I do too!!!
lots of color choice, just as picture
I made potholders when I was a child and was happy to see that the loom and loops set still existed. The package clearly states that these loops when woven together make great potholders and yet in the instructions it states that they should not be used as potholders. Back in the day, the loops were made to natural fibers and this new version is made of synthetics. My grandson is 4 years old and he caught on right away on how to weave. The loops are much more stretchy than they used to be, enough that he did not have any trouble manipulating the loops. The hook should be longer to accommodate the entire surface. And it would have helped if it had a deeper hook so the loops wouldn't slip off. My grandson found alternative ways of working around this problem by finger weaving. The colors are brilliant.
Can't wait for my granddaughters to start making potholders as I did about their age.
I thought there would be more in the bag. The picture looks bigger than it is.
I like the product becuase they give u alot of bands, but the price could get a little lower i think.
The colors are bright and pretty. But the amount of loops for the price, and therefore how much the child can make from them was a disappointment. Quality was good.
For the price I thought you would get a lot more in the bag, the picture of this item is deciving. Its like a tiny bag of them.
I bought these loops for my daughter because she liked the colors and wanted to make pot holders as gifts. Took them home and looked at the fine print: "Caution: Pot holders are for decorative purposes only. Keep away from heat and open flame." Pot holders that can't be used around heat? Crazy. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning. Very annoying.
