This is the most spacious and good use of space in a refrigerator that I have ever had. Too, I really like the freezer area with lots of room and 2 drawers and having ice for filling many items or large things available in a bin easy to get to for use. I bought this refrigerator for my Staff room. It's been almost a full year and I have yet to find any problem. With consistant opening and closing from all the staffs, I have yet to touch the original temp. setting and there is no ice built up in my freezer. I pick this refrigerator because it had perfect square walls inside panels; nothing sticking out and option to put in Ice Maker if I needed for the staffs in the Summer. I like it!

I had to replace my refrigerator at short notice in early May. As I plan to put my apartment on the market in the near future, I was reluctant to make a major investment and chose the 14 cu ft Amana with top freezer compartment, which fits into the space available. The most significant feature is the tightness of the doors. Because of the short time I've used the refrigerator, I haven't been able to assess any potential savings in electricity yet. This refrigerator is versatile, stylish and everything I thought it would be. I got the black model and it looks beautiful in our downstairs bar area complimenting the metal cupboards and surrounding area. We've used it for what you'd expect, keeping beverages and food cold. However, we also used it to keep wedding flowers cool until they could be used for the wedding!
Refrigerator fits great in our cottage and is doing a good job. Freezer has a small wire shelf, I think a place to keep your ice tray. There are slots to add a shelf, but you can't order a shelf for it, so storing food in the freezer is just pile it in the open cavity. A optional shelf would be great.
I bought this refrigerator several weeks ago when my old refrigerator failed. I needed a refrigerator narrow enough for its space, but large enough for a single person who cooks. I like the recessed handles inside the doors. I do not like the fact that a shelf for the freezer compartment is not provided. I went out yesterday and purchased a 24 inch wide wire shelf at my local hardware store. It just fit in the slots provided. After I loaded up the refrigerator and freezer, it took several days to get the right balance of temps in the freezer and refrigerator. One must be careful not to obstruct the vents on the floor of the freezer otherwise cold air to the fridge in impeded. Every new appliance requires get used to and I am happy with my purchase. This is our "overflow" refrigerator in the garage. I raise chickens for eggs and this is our storage frig. Egg customers come by, pick up their eggs- identified by a clothespin, and leave their money in the can on top. So far, the Amana has served us well.
Overall I ike the fridge. It was inexpensive, and replaced a secondary fridge. The only issue is that the shelf for the freezer is only about 1/3 the size of the freezer. This makes it difficult to store a lot of stuff in the freezer as everything has to be stacked high. I tried to find a full size shelf online, but was unsuccessful. We purchased this small refrigerator because it is energy-saving and it fits into our tight space. While it is inexpensive and functional, it is quite basic. I wish it had more drawers, a serious freezer shelf and adjustable door shelves. The retail company charged us for a plastic hose which I assumed was for drainage but was actually for the optional ice unit that we did not purchase. So far the fridge has been reliable, there is just not an ability to customize it to our needs. It would be good for those on a budget.
