I totally love the look and performance of this new dishwasher. I had just replace one that I had for about 20 years with another brand and kept it about two year. It never cleaned well nor did it dry my dishes all the way no matter how may settings I tried! This Amana is the absolute "cherry on the top" as it out performs the other two it has replaced and in high performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The story begins when we first got our bra new house 10 year ago. All the appliances were new. Our dishwasher considered to be a fancy one one of the first digitals in the market. I didn't want to break it for not using it “properly”, so we use it for only big events. Then for the “lack of use” broke and the technician said it was because we didn't use it constantly enough. LOL! I think we used it 10 times and I was told I needed a new one, that this was a goner. We were all upset and refused to spend the moneys in another fancy one. The technician recommended us Amana. He said that these machines were reliable, inexpensive, and the easiest to be repaired. They're the most simple, practical, and yes!….RELIABLE dishwashers in the market. After years we moved out of state and finally we bought our new house. Again, the “fancy” dishwasher was broken so we bought our second AMANA. We use it every day! We just love it. It's design is simple but it matches our stainless steel appliances too. What matters is that for being so inexpensive, you get a reliable, easy to use, effective DISHWASHE! My AMANA DISHWASHER is a keeper! We always sing the ama-na-ma tu tu ru ru ruuuu song! ;P
I got the black one to go with the wood cabinets. Since the front is touch screen it is flat for easy cleaning. It's easy to operate with a touch of a couple of buttons and it's very quiet. The inside racks are big for large pots and bowls. The top rack cleans dishes now since the sprayer is under the dishes. The dryer agent has a see thru window so I know when to fill it. I could have chosen another brand but I am glad I chose the Amana. Not only does it fit nicely with my other appliances but it's efficient, works great and it's quiet which is a huge plus. I would totally recommend this dishwasher. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a decent dishwasher for the money, only issue I had was the toe kick of the dishwasher sticks out 3/4 of an inch past my cabinet toe kick when it's mounted as deep as possible. Not a big deal but it did annoy me at first. Cleans dishes good, dries the dishes decent when you use rinse aid. It's not quiet. It's somewhat loud. It's a budget dishwasher.
I wanted a simple washer that would get my dishes clean. I didnt want to pay extra for bells and whistles. Just not in my budget. This washer get my dishes clean. But not as advertised. You will need to rinse dishes. If I put mine in without rinsing, they dont come out clean as advertised. Dishes do not completely dry. Even with rinse aids. When dishwasher arrived it looked untouched. After uncrating and removing wrapping, my plumber an I noticed there were dents in top of door and door is warped.Cannot use Heated dry on all cycles. No rinse only cycle, unit does not clean stuck on dirt well. Even with Cascade Plaatinum. The plastic cover over the buttons has been ripped off and replaced. But it is not aligned wih buttons. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased new home and this brand washer was installed. I have tried 4 times to clean dishes but the washing pod doesn't dissolve. The dispenser opens but the pod just sits in the corner. I don't know if it's the washer or something else.
