This was a blind buy as I have wanted to try a Diptyque frangrance forever but they are not sold anywhere in the small town where I live. Nothing to compare to the original but this one is amazing!! One of the cleanest, most easy breezy florals I’ve ever smelled! It has great silage and projection for and light and delicate as it is. Something about it makes me nostalgic for the 90s and my childhood in a weird way. It’s what I am now going to spray any time I want to smell and feel like a renaissance painting of a woman draped in sheets in a garden. That’s literally how it feels. So many florals verge on Gramma and I typically end up, hating anything that could swing either way, but I swear this has such a youthful, beautifully seductive airiness to it that I don’t get that at all. Great everyday scent!
Hello Diptyque, I've found your twin. I was so happy to discover Dossier got it right with the delicate mix of Tuberose and soft spice. This is my goto scent from May to September. I love perfume. I have spent sooooo much money on it, without a thought {that's how much I love perfume.} However, this is not sustainable and turns into a toxic trait. Finding Dossier has switched this trait and turned into my cake.
Ambery Tuberose starts out gentler than Do Son, which starts off green, richly indolic and slightly camphorous. This actually starts out a bit creamy, somewhat green, slightly indolic. It starts resembling Do Son more as it dries down. I get less of the slightly tart note in this one, but I do get the floral, animalic base. As it dries down even further, I detect qualities that I associate more with gardenia than with tuberose, as it has a certain watery quality to it, but I suspect I would not have caught the difference at all if I had not been sniffing both of these side-by-side. It also pulls a touch more synthetic than Do Son, but not enough to be problematic, and isn’t quite as deep a fragrance. As a dupe, this one is quite good. I’m impressed. I can’t say how it compares to the current Do Son formulation, but it is holding its own with my vintage bottle.
Tuberose for the win. Ive never smelled diptyque do son but now I dont have to. This is a VERY strong beautiful white floral and it lasts about 3 or so hours as a skin scent. It was love at first sniff. It should be worn respectfully with only one or two sprays any more than that is just rude to people around you because some people are sensitive to strong florals.
by far and away my favorite dossier perfume. the tuberose is delicate. it’s floral without being old and a perfect scent for late spring and early summer.
If you love white flower smell, this is perfect for you! Very light and floral and pretty %26 perfect for spring%26 summer.
Nothing wrong with the fragrance, I just personally didn’t like how it smelled. I’ve never smelled the OG, however. But my other two from Dossier smell so good and spot on!
I liked everything about this product this is the second time I've ordered a fragrance and loved it.
Smells like gardenia, if you like that. I’m not sure that it smells like Do Son. I used to have Do Son and it didn’t have such a strong gardenia scent.
It smells like old granny perfume. Not a fan. I don't like it at all, but someone would.
