Been using this pump for 8.5 weeks and so far so good. My only advice is make sure you buy the spare parts for it as about 6.5 weeks a valve stopped when washing and I couldn't get suction.
I chose the Ameda Pump because I heard great things from my lactation consultant at the hospital. The hospital where my girl was born had the Ameda pumps there and when I got home it just seemed like a natural fit. This pump ROCKS! Its so comfortable to use and I pump about 4oz per side in about 9 min.
I have been using this pump for 15 weeks now & I love it. It does the job efficiently. It's not heavy. I easily take it between my office & home. Cleaning is easy. If I had one complaint it would be that it's kind of loud while pumping. I have used a Medela brand a few time at the hospital but I personally can't afford it. So I was skeptical about getting the Ameda, however I'm glad I did. I would definitely purchase it again!
I have been using this item for 5 months now. I used hospital grade Ameda pump and than bought this Ameda pump through my insurance. I am very happy that it is a close system since I pump at work and I don't need to worry about air quality. I also bought the car charger so whenever we go to a vacation I pump in the car. The only issue I have is the bottle holders on the top, it doesn't work with Dr. Brown's glass bottles.
I bought this pump two weeks ago, I went with this brand instead of Medela because it is a closed system, however it has less suction than Medela pump and it has flimsy valves, tubings etc. I used it according to directions but today, it stopped while I'm in the middle of pumping. I had to pull the cord out and put it back in before suction starts again. It did it to me 3x and I don't pump more than 15 mins. What a disappointment.
