My only wish is that this have 3 speeds, high, medium, and low otherwise it is an excellent fan. I want it blowing right on my head as that is where I get so hot and it only has high and medium. I have to place in on my iron posts on my bed further away because of that. I am glad I did find this fan and I cannot find a clip on small 3 speed fan anywhere.
Great little fan. The two speeds are exactly what a person needs. The Low speed is just right for a little air circulation without blowing everything off the table. The High speed is perfect for a little more movement, it's not overwhelming tho. I do have to say, it is the quietest fan I have ever heard. This is a 5 star in my book.
I like the height of my Genesis fan. It sits higher off of the table compared to other fans I have purchased. (I know because I have purchased 3 other desk fans from 3 different companies over the past few years.) Also it is the only that I have purchased that has the "clip", that can be used to position the fan in countless different ways other than on a desktop.
Love this fan! The clip is LARGE, allowing it to grasp the edge of most tabletops or desktop edges. The two speeds are quite adequate; I usually use just the low speed. And the fan is QUIET! The angle is adjustable up/down as well as swiveling from one side to the other. Great buy for the price...you get an and if you go online to register the fan, you get an extra 6 months warranty service. Will update later if anything changes.
Nice looking fan out of the box. My daughter took to camp so not sure how well it will hold up. While trying to clip it to her bunk and plug in, the edges on the back seemed to be coming apart already, but I was able to push edges back together. Hopefully this will not cause an issue in the future. Thanks.
Pro's, good airflow without the jet engine noise. Lightweight sturdy plastic housing. Cons, due to being lightweight, tips easily so needs to be on a flat surface. The locking mechanism of the adjustable fan cage tends to loosen causing the air flow angle to drop and has to be tightened occasionally.
I bought this to go on the headboard of my bed so I could get rid of the overwhelming, bulky pedestal fan sitting beside it, yet not have to install an expensive ceiling fan in a ceiling I don't own. The substantial clip could use some rubber feet where it clamps onto stuff, and for that I took off a star. Other than that, it's quiet and moves some decent air for its size. The side to side adjustment locks into position with "clicks", and the up or down adjustment tightens with a plastic wing nut. Well pleased with the product.
I use this fan in my dorm after my other one broke after a year. I just clip it to one of the posts on my dorm bed and it works great. Some nights I have to turn it off because it makes me too cold (always a plus)! The fan speed is great for hot sleepers like me.
I got this fan to clip onto my headboard for sleeping along with my ceiling fan, for extra air flow and additional white noise for my dog who is scared of storms. The clip itself holds tight but does not have any kind of protection on it for what it clips onto. I added some material at the bottom so not to scratch my headboard as I was not sure it would hold well, because plastic is pretty flimsy. If you want it to oscillate from side to side as I thought it would it does not. You can adjust it to face a bit higher or low, nothing more. Have not used it with its stand but it seems very flimsy. In my opinion it would not be a sturdy fan using the base. 3 stars because it does work. It is quiet and there is just one speed. I would not and will not purchase this again when it does stop working due to the things I mentioned above.
Works great! I am just confused on why there is a zip tie around the motor. Should I be worried?
