Who would think a toilet would be attractive? This one is and works great! It is a one piece and very streamlined. It really doesn't have a loud flush sound either.
I bought the champion 4 because I had one in my previous house and I liked it. I replaced one with a round bowl and I like the larger bowl.
When shopping for a new toilet to replace the old non-comfort height one i had, I debated between this model and another brand and happy so far with my choice! It's a good looking toilet with a good flush!
I bought this toilet two weeks ago, so I can't say much about longevity, but everything else is great. I installed it my self using the instructions. It was fairly easy and the instructions were good. I wanted an oval toilet that was higher than my old toilet. Many could have filled those requirements, but this was the only one that talked about being able to handle large flushing jobs of large solid objects. It has performed this task very well with no complications.
Second American Standard I've installed in my house. Like how all components come in one box. Instructions for bowl install and tank are easy to follow. Great that the tank came pre-assembled also. Functions great, but have had to disassemble tank from bowl, four times in the month since install, trying to find mystery leak from either tank gasket or tank bolt seal. Can not find replacement parts at local repair stores and would hate to pull toilet to return and exchange.
I bought two toilets at the same time . One came with a "Soft Close" hinged seat the other came with an old style " Fall Down" seat. Due to inconsistency of supplied parts in the box.... I have to be inconvenienced and shop for another " Soft Close" seat.
Less than 2 years old and the flush valve leaks. This allows the water to get low and flushing power is decreased. When it works it works good
Bought because a friend told me how awesome it is. First, the plastic for the seat bolts was broken out of the box so the lid doesnt always stay up. Second, it hasn't ever clogged but it is the loudest flush I've ever heard in a residential toilet. Third, the flusher keeps sliding off the post so every few weeks we have to lift the tank lid to push it back on. Fourth, it recently started running so now we ha e to jiggle the handle after flushing. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND and would not buy again. Not what I'd call "American Standard"
I was very much disappointed in this product. I didn't realize it had such a poor flushing system. It is advertised that it will flush so many golf balls with no problem. well I don't believe it. It is supposed to flush with 1.6 gallons of water. No way! I made a poor choice!
The gasket leaked from the first day it was installed
