[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm super impressed with this gorgeous looking electric Ice Cream Maker from Americana. The 1.5Qt is very compact, pretty nice color and design that's perfectly suited for an ice cream maker. It's very easy to operate with just an on/off button. It looks like a heavy machine but it isn't. It's small but very sturdy and you can literally make many varieties of ice cream to your liking (ice cream, gelato, yogurt, soft serve ice cream) to name a few. Within 50 minutes or less, you will have a freshly made batch of ice cream to enjoy. It's easy to clean up as well. Please do keep in mind that you need to freeze the base 24 hrs prior to using. I love this machine and have so much fun exploring all the easy to do ice cream recipes. Would recommend this to anyone!!!

My grandson always asks to make ice cream and loves to help and watches it as it churns. It is very quiet and clean up is easy.

All you have to do is put the bottom in freezer and mix your favorite recipe of ice cream abut it on the tub after it's frozen. And let it do it's thing and in just a few minutes it's soft serve ice cream and it's the best and very easy to do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Americana 1.5 qt electric ice cream maker with quick freeze bowl is great made my family healthy ice cream any flavor the kids wanted and toppings at the comfort of our own home. I do want to try frozen yogurt so I'll look into a recipe to see if I can manage to make it for my sweet tooth. I was a bit worried when It arrived sounded like a liquid inside and called customer service and got my questions answered immediately its normal thats what makes the bowl freeze for 24 hours, make sure to go over instructions like any ither appliance before using it. Its a must having to freeze the bowl in order for the ice cream to convert the liquids into ice cream. The top is simple to remove but does look a bit flimsy but does the job after half an hour it feels warm but thats normal its working for some time. There is many recipes out there to try your pantry is the limit or whatever you have on hand, it is a bit big of a bowl so you do need space in your freezer to keep for 24 hours and ready to use. Its very easy to clean just remove lid the spatula mixer spoon releases as well and easy clean up. I do love the ice crem that is at the very bottom thats a more frozen consistency my daughter loved it she tried scooping her spoon inside the bowl but need to be careful as this can scratch inside the inside of the bowl.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Ice Cream Maker so I honestly have nothing to compare it with but this works quite well. My opinions are as follows: after multiple uses please follow directions on freezing the base for 24 hours or you will not get the quality you desire. This will be a soft serve ice cream and I recommend eating it immediately, it took approximately 20-30 minutes to get a desired consistency. Do not leave it unattended as once its thick the top will start to spin and and the cord will spin with it which could be dangerous and messy. I would not do you justice if I did not tell you it is quite loud so please be prepared for the sound. Overall I give it 4 stars.
I did not like the bowl, it is awkward to handle without a removable separate container.
After freezing the bowl for 24 hrs my ice cream was still liquid form with the start of the freezing process( ice crystal) after an HR going, then I tried it again the next day the same thing happened but this time the motor over heated and it turned itself off and won't turn back on.. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THUS PRODUCT!!!! It ruined my kids holiday desert
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in December. I went out and bought all the ingredients listed in the directions for ice cream and set this up. This is not a typical salt machine. You place the bowl that freezes the ice cream in a freezer to use. Unfortunately, no matter how long I left the bowl in the freezer and how many trues it took me, this machine will not freeze the ice cream at all. I don't believe this machine is effective for anything but making slushy milk. It powered on and doesn't seem to be defective and I followed the instructions to the letter many times trying. I would save my money and choose another product than this one.
