This phone was a great gift from my fiancee' and was purchased at the Waveland MS store. The associate (Cole) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The activation of Straight Talk was smooth, complete with retaining my existing Verizon number. The service activation was successful when I called, rather than trying to activate on line. I highly recommend the IPhone 4 and Straight Talk service. Completeing this survey was not quite as smooth though- too many issues with the nickname! duhhh Love my IPhone!
Wife wanted a I-phone a few days before mothers day, wednesday I think. So I couldn't find one at any retailers. I got her a i-phone 4, 8 gb.. I heard the five around here had some minor glitches. Order through walmart.com the i-phone 4 . They told me It would arrive on friday to start with. Then the next day I got a e-mail saying it would arrive monday. I was surprised that it actually arrived on saturday before mothers day. Wife loves it as she had a cheap phone with us cellular and they didnot offer a i-phone. Now her i-phone & i-pad are working together and she is so happy.
My comments are just this, I live in the bullhead city Arizona area . I've been with straight talk for three years now and love the fact it's only 45.99 for everything unlimited. The I phone 4 I wanted so bad it runs on version towers. The company ( straight talk) said they were unable to keep my same phone number because there are no Verizon towers here. I told them that Verizon just bought out T-Mobile's towers here . They said they still couldn't do it. But, speaking with a walmart associate I just used a different zip code to enable the phone. Works better than the one I spent 100 bucks for six months ago. So walmart needs to update straight talk so they can get more purchases here locally. Love the product and the service is still better than ever before! The only down is I had no choice but, to change telephone numbers. Which was a real bummer to have to notify all my contacts of my new number ! But the I phone is the way to go.. better and easier than android phones.
I've been saving up for so long, and I was not disappointed! I have had straight talk phones for about 3 years now and this is the best BY FAR. I hardly got any service in my apartment with any Straight Talk phones before, and now the "line" is crystal clear. This phone gets the best reception out of any straight talk phone i've seen! It comes with the SIM card already installed, all you have to do is go to the website and set it up just like any other straight talk phone.
The phone was fabulous, easy to connect to straight talk. It was a gift for my eleven year old kid. Would definitely buy another iPhone for myself. Great customer service.
I bought our family's first iPhone for my daughter who turned 13 a couple of weeks ago. She was ecstatic. It took a little longer to arrive at our home which I thought was slow. I took it to Walmart to be activated and they set me up with a new number in our area code. This phone is excellent and is much better than my BlackBerry which we have for work. There is just no comparison. We have the Straight Talk plan and so far it is serving us very well. My daughter uses the Internet, but when she is home she knows to go to Wi-Fi. I am very glad I went with ST. And unless you gobble up data with movies or set up your own Hot Spot this plan should save you quite a bit.
I had this phone with a different company and it just got to expensive to have so I switched to straight talk and had to go to android and was highly upset. When I logged on and seen iPhone for straight talk I thought I died and went to heaven!! It's so amazing being an apple fanatic and being able to use the same phone as them for much much cheaper than what everyone else pays. So far I haven't had any trouble with it and would purchase it over again if I needed too!!
After the initial issues with set up (make sure WalMart scans the phone right or it won't be activated) I am now very happy and its the best Straight Talk phone there is. It gets much better reception and service than the other phones on their plan. I hated having to pay retail for it but hey I make up for it in savings using their unlimited plans.
This phone works great for me. My only complaint is the battery life. By the time I get home for the day the phone is dead or near dead. I do a fair amount of texting and email, very little internet browsing and maybe 5-10 minutes of talk time. I will invest in a battery extender. Getting this phone for my husband in black.
I was disappointed that this phone is a CDMA. Phone that is locked to straight talk network. It doesn't have a GSM and it can only work on straight net work. Paying full price doesn't mean you get an unlocked phone i guess. That same goes for iPhones 4S and 5. But those phones do have GSM that can accept other SIM cards (I checked so I know). So if you need more than one choice for phone carrier, do not buy this iPhone 4. Get 4s instead. That is what I did.
