Bought this iPhone from walmart.com on the straightalk plan. Very pleased with the phone and with the straighttalk service
I bought this iPhone for my wife since we were switching to Straight Talk from Verizon because of their plans being too expensive. She had a Motorola RAZR and it was getting slow and out dated so she wanted this iPhone. After receiving her phone, I used the Straight Talk website for the activation; it went perfectly and her Verizon phone number was ported to Straight Talk in 3 hours. So my wife has had her iPhone for about a month now and there has not been a single issue. 90% of the time she has 4-5 bars of signal when I only have 3 bars on Verizon alone. The phone works great and she couldn't be happier.
The phone is great but was disappointed with the shipping. Started out with Fedex and then got switched over to the postal system. Not sure why as we live in a complex and have Fedex service before.
Greetings I am a returning Straight Talk customer from before it was even offered in the stores on a large scale. I purchased this phone to replace my stolen iphone 4s that I used with AT&T up until last spring before switching to ST. The iphone 5 is a great phone and this one is no exception. The catch is that this particular model with Straight Talk is a CDMA version running on Verizon. The agreement states that it will only work on Straight Talk networks, thus it is locked as all CDMA phones are technically to a carrier but it is agreed that you will only use it with them. I returned the phone less than a week later once a replacement ST SIM was obtained and purchased a factory unlocked GSM iPhone 5C for total freedom while using ST. It just makes sense that if paying an unlocked price that the phone can be used at any time with any carrier you want to go to without any hassles.
Got the iPhone in the time quoted. The phone had some speaker issues which is cured by pressing on the bottom right corner a couple of times (at least it did for us). When you get it you need to upgrade the IOS and call straight talk and have them update your phone on their end.
Do not purchase the iphone 5 from walmart for the straight talk network. After weeks of research and attempts to get data and mms working on this phone I have given up. The horror stories you will see about straight talks' customer service are all true. Please, please, please, heed my advice and buy this phone from anywhere else. This iphone 5 runs off of the verizon network, only gets 3g, does not receive data, is incapable of sending or receivng mms messages and can not function with an att sim card.
